What co-op should we play together?
I really like these games with my friends
Battleblock Theater it's a blast
Castle Crashers, really fun beat em up
Deep Rock Galactic, kinda like left 4 dead but with a twist of mining, its really good
Divinity The Original Sin 1 & 2, if you like turn based RPG, to be honest i don't like them that much but these ones are really good, good gameplay, and fun and rich stort
Don't Starve Together, the game we try when we want something more survival, and has a lot of mods to play
Lethal League Blaze, o more competitive game, but really fun
Monster Hunter World, just be sure to go at the same time in the story, otherwise you have to wait for cutscenes to play together
Overcookeed 1 & 2 REALLY fun games, i love them
Stardew Valley, something more relaxing, but i really like the game when they add the coop
But if i can recommend one that i'm sure you will love, Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes, with my friends we play that online and in lan parties until we ended the game, or we could not disarm more bombs because we were drunk :v
Also if you have one more friend to play, appart from overcooked, lethal league, i recommend to you Crawl
Edit: Terraria! Yes! I forgot that one, one of my favorites games, if you find the beggining a little boring...wich it is, instal a mod that makes mining minerals much faster, it's an amazing game but the beggining, until the first boss can be a little boring, it's not minecraft in 2d

The trailers are an amazing selling point. They got me intrigued even if I don't even know what's this game about. ๐คฃ

I've noticed it's by the same developer. Very cool!
Divinity The Original Sin 1 & 2, if you like turn based RPG, to be honest i don't like them that much but these ones are really good, good gameplay, and fun and rich stort
Played them both. ๐๐ป
Don't Starve Together, the game we try when we want something more survival, and has a lot of mods to play
Played it, it was fun, but didn't think it was the best co-op game I've played.
Lethal League Blaze, o more competitive game, but really fun
I dig the style for this game. Thank you!

Played them all. Great games!

We've played this one. My wife wanted it and we had some fun, but didn't really finish it.

Oh I remember this one. It's a shame it can't be matchmade or something. I do love the trailer for this game. Very cool!

Oh we did play just a bit Terraria. But not sure why we stopped. I guess we moved to some of the single player games we used to play.

My best coop experiences (from the top of my head) were 7 Days to Die and Orcs Must Die! 2 so I would recommend those.
If you like shooters Killing Floor 1 and 2 are great too, as well as Gunfire Reborn. Also Payday 2, if you don't mind buying a billion DLCs.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light / Temple of Osiris are also fun games.
Rampage Knights and Lost Castle are great in multiplayer, can be played locally too.
Also highly recommend the We Were Here games, they are quite short tho.

Oh yeah, we've not tried 7 Days to Die, neither Orcs Must Die. Thank you!
We attempted for Payday 2, but somehow we didn't manage to do it due to a error in connection. That was a while back and not through Steam. Seen Killing Floor 1 & 2 on SG. I thought it was similar to Left 4 Dead.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light / Temple of Osiris are also fun games.
Thank you! We both love Tomb Raider, this goes back to the old style as I can see.

Interesting suggestion, but I don't think we'd like to play these type of games together. ๐

Seen it recommended, we will try this one. Thank you!

Killing Floor and Left 4 Dead are both coop FPS "zombie" "horde" shooters but they have a different feel. L4D is objective based while KF is (mostly) just surviving X waves while killing everything, then killing the boss. There are multiple classes/perks which you can level up, and a lot of maps and weapons. Also there are no bots (and no downed / helping up mechanics).

Trying to pick through my steam library for stuff that I enjoyed co-op but hasn't been mentioned to death yet:
I saw Raft was already mentioned. It's chill and fun.
If you're into exceptionally tactical RPGs, Divinity Original Sin 2 is spectacular fun Co-op. I wasn't sure how a Baldur's Gate style RPG would work with multiple players but it really does! You can get it on steam or GOG and it's cross-playable between the two, frequently goes on sale <20$. Buy it on Gog, and you can both install and play it for the price of one.
A lot of people love Valheim, but it's a bit of a niche lowpoly taste. I prefer a little more complexity in long-form survival games, like Ark or Rust or Conan Exiles.
Grounded is another co-op survival game that has a lot of character and even though it's not finished either, it's a lot of fun multiplayer. The whole "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" vibe is super unique and amusing, so long as you aren't afraid of bugs.
As for the people who suggested Terraria, I prefer Starbound. It's like a sci-fi offshoot of the concept, but less open-ended chaos in a closed system and more No-Man's-Sky-style galactic exploration and fun 2d building.
We had some fun with Volcanoids, but it's somewhat limited in scope and still in Early Access.

We have it. We've played Divinity Original Sin 1 & 2. Great games. Didn't finish the 2nd, although we had 2 attempts or something. We did enjoy the first a lot.
Baldur's Gate 3? It's still Early Access and at this point not in a fully functional way I believe. I'll 100% play it with my wife once this get's polished. Game looks really really nice. I love the chracters, they are all so beautiful.

Oh yeah, we've played Valheim, and we liked it, but never progressed much. Didn't play Ark, Rust or Conan Exiles yet. I'll mention it to her.

We've been wanting to play this game, but we wanted the issues to be fixed. I wonder how long it will take until they do. This game came out in 2020. I hope it get's the love it requires.

I see, I'll mention Starbound. I got the game and it does look like Terraria. ๐ฎ

Very cool idea. I like the Steampunk vibe. I'll keep an eye for this one. ๐๐ป

I personally was not very impressed with BG3 and refunded it. You're paying 60$ to be a beta tester and it's just not worth it.
It's like a broken DOS2 mod or something. Almost exactly the same game, but with a D&D skin on it, and a lot of fundamental stuff altered to pay lip service to the D&D ruleset. Given the way they gate events with arbitrary dice rolls, potentially locking you entirely out of content based on nothing more than RNG, I don't think there's much hope. Sadly I will probably end up skipping it, but that's just like, my opinion man.

I get you, I bought it to show support and push the production a little quicker further. DOS1 & DOS2 was good as a game and I started believing in the games they are trying to push. My wife played it as it was and really enjoyed it. She played it twice even if it got reset once. She said it's a really good game, despite that it's buggy and unfinished. I gotta mention that they are the only company I saw that placed the game in Early Access instead of pushing forward a buggy game as "Finished". So, they earned my respect. Also the team working behind it are awesome.

I've not played Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 to make a comparison, but it's definitely an improved gameplay mechanics of DOS2. They didn't bother reinventing the wheel if it's actually working well. It's a concept I personally enjoy as a turn-base fan. But of course, people have the right to share their opinion and who they give their money too.

I am well aware this game requires a lot of touching, but eventually it will come out to be finished. The beta-testing aspect is not a bad thing, because they also tried to build the game based on community requests. So, overall, if it gets finished in the next 1-2 years, either old players will replay it once more or people will be fed up because they've seen the game already too many times during Early Access Stage to not consider it.
In the end, as you've said, personal opinion and I see no problem with it. ๐

Well, my number one choice is listed online on my Steam account with only 5 hours playtime but that's only because I was without the internet for a good while. I'd say I have at least 20-30 hours in it...
The game was actually free on Steam for a brief time to celebrate the game adding online Co-op. And as a fan of pixel art, I also wanna throw out Hammerwatch, or even better the sequel Heroes of Hammerwatch. I mention the first of that series because only the first game has local or "couch" co-op listed under its features.
And lastly, I'd like to recommend Moon Hunters, a fun little action roguelike with a
fair amount of replay value. While it is currently a measly 1.49 USD on Steam during its dev's sale, it's also part of Fanatical's Easter Bundle where you can get it by itself for a buck, if that buck 50 is just too much to ask.

Children of Morta
Oooooooh I've seen this one somewhere, and I can't remember if it was for Switch. This is a game we'd see ourselves playing together. ๐ฑ

I am quite picky with my pixelated art games, like for instance I really dig the Chidren of Morta, but not so much the looks of Hammerwatch. I've had no idea there was a prequel to Heroes of Hammerwatch, but I will put it under my watch and see what comes of it.

Moon Hunters seems to be in my library, so I must have gotten it through one of the bundles. Again, this art-style I personally dig because it's a lot more polished looking animation that gives life to the pixels.
Never the less, thank you for the recommendations, excellent pics. ๐๐ป

Hi there,
My wife wants to play a game with me that we can get to have interaction with one another. It doesn't really matter the genre of the game as we've played action, FPS, strategy, survival and adventure games together, but we're running thin on what games we should play. We have a few options as of now, some I've suggested and some are simply not something she wants to play, for no particular reason.
I will mark them as:
๐ด - Her choice and
๐ต - My choice and
๐ค - We're not yet sure about it yet
๐ข - Played, but not finished for various reasons
What we've played already is: GTA 5, Warframe, Valheim, Sea of Thieves, Monster Hunter: World, Dying Light 1 & 2, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, For Honor, Portal 2, Phasmophobia, State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition, A Way Out, Trine 1,2 & 3, Remnant: From the Ashes, Resident Evil 5, Overcooked, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Aion, Black Desert Online, TERA, Hunt: Showdown, Saints Row: The Third, Mortal Kombat 11, Red Dead Online. I may have forgotten some of them in the list, but if they are mentioned and I remember them, I'll let you know.
Share what you think of the game and why you suggest it? I don't mind if the game is a bit different than the mainstream and that it's not on Steam particular. You can include any kind of game you've personally played with a friend or partner.
Thank you form both of us!
