Sorry, but XCOM 2 will not work, as it only got 1 entry last time it was given away :(

Would you like to choose a different game?
Comment has been collapsed.
How about The evil within, The coma 2, or Cities skylines?
Comment has been collapsed.
Coma 2 got 0 entries last time.
Cities Skylines got 2 entries.
The Evil Within is borderline - it got 15 entries 11 months ago. So it can go either way.
Do you want to choose another game, or take a chance with "The Evil Within"?
Btw, you can check entry numbers yourself by using the instructions in the main post.

Checked the group giveaway history. Think i might go with Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts.
Comment has been collapsed.
No need to check group history.
Again - the original post contains explanation how to check entries for past giveaways. (see bottom of the post)
Under the title: "How to check how many entries a game received when it was given away in QGG:"
Unfortunately "Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts" only got 5 entries from group members last time it was given away. So it won't do :(

Thx for the guide. Thinking Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice or Wasteland 3 but can't find them in the page. Will it be okay?
Comment has been collapsed.
"Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice" is probably a good choice.
It was never given away in the group, but it's on the wishlist of 21 members.
Wasteland 3 is even better - it's on wishlist of 39 members. So it's even more preferable.
I've sent you a friend request on Steam.

I've been invited to join this group, but I need to wait until I have cleared my entry with another group as I'm trying to follow their rules. I tend to value the games I enter on this website and I want to play the games I win.
So, I will come as soon as I'm ready for this group. I hope you guys are going to be still recruiting by then. I intend to give Quality Games for groups like this and leave the rest of them for public giveaways.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message and I'll hope to see you soon. I'll come up when the time I'm ready with the title of the game I plan to give away. Cheers!

Will do! Thanks for responding.
I'll let you know when I was able to finish my initiation with the other Touhou Giveaway Group.
Looking forward to collaborate with you all and give out awesome games. Btw, prior to the initiation, do you mind if I add you on my Steam as friends? I don't intend to bother you, but to do something in regards to the steps. 😄

Update: I've managed to enter the group and carry out my initiation successfully. I'm ready to do the same for this group if you'd still accept me. I've been thinking to offer Dying Light as my first game. Would that be an accepted giveaway by your group?

I'm interested in joining the group. Mdk25 I have you as a friend.
Horizon Zero Dawn joining for February.

Heloo. I would like ot join if possible.
For my first giveaway I am thinking Virgo Versus The Zodiac
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey xcomonline,
Surprisingly Virgo Versus The Zodiac was never given away in QGG, so it's hard for me to tell how popular it would be...
Do you have any other suggestions for giveaways, or do you want to try your luck with "Virgo Versus The Zodiac"?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi there! I was nudged to take a look at this thread and after studying the rules I'm very impressed with what you're doing here. I'm pretty confident I pass the requirement for QGG worthy games given away in the past, and I pass the other points for sure.
I'd love to give 'Detroit: Become Human' for the group, if you'll have me. ^^
Just to make extra-extra sure, the rules say "at least 7 days" so this also means the giveaway can be well above that, for example 14 days?

Joined and giveaway created, and won't be joining any. Thank you! ^^

Thanks for noticing - fixed now.
The reason these games appeared on the list, is because these games were given away in the winter special game, and are expected to get 16+ entries when given away in main group.
I realize it may be confusing, so I removed them now to prevent confusion.

Lacuna & Dishonored are also to be removed for too few entrants.
Have you considered to adjust the min entry amount?
It was last changed after the big recruitment drive from ThePazazeDragon, increasing it to 16, which made sense there.
But since then, during the time-frame from Oct20 to Jan22 the group had a net loss of -11 members and the conditions look a lot more like how it was before in early 2020, where the min entry amount was at 12. And Looking at the data confirms it.
You had written here that the new-member-ga is supposed to be in the top 20% of the group giveaways.
For the last month Jan22 there were a total of 184 GAs with 32 with no entries. Don't know which number you take for the calculation, but let's go with the stricter one: 152. 20% from that are the top 30 GAs, which start from at a minimum of 10 entries.
Comparing that with March20 (when min entry amount was at 12).
A total of 185 GAs with 43 with no entries. 20% from 142 are 28, which start from a minimum of 11 entries.
So an adjustment is justified, but the situation now is actually even worse:
not sure if you intentionally designed it that way or may not even be aware, but the tool retroactively subtracts entries if the user is not currently a members of the group anymore. Which means that old data shows a lower count than what actually happened.
This also leads to an absurd scenario, that if all current members were to leave and 90 others hopped in, then the tool will show exactly 0 entries for all previous giveaways. And that seems not useful at all.
I'd say it should always show the real number, or both, but not the wrong one as it does now.

What you said here is true.
However some time after that decision, we had an internal meeting of the admin team, and the consensus was that anyone giving away a game that gets 12 entires can as easily give away a game that gets 16 entries.
It's been over a year since that meeting, and the group admin staff has changed completely since then. So it may be worthwhile revisiting the policy.
I will raise it with the other group admins.

I am aware of this issue.
This is cause by the way the tool is designed:
It looks at all the entries of a giveaway, and filters out all who are not QGG group members.
The reason it filters them out - is because some giveaways are not QGG exclusive, so we don't want the total number of entries (this you can get from SG search of giveaways), but instead only the number of entries from group members.
And group members list is derived from SG data on current group members.
This means that, as you noticed, when a person leaves the group he's no longer counted in group member entries.
Fixing this would be too difficult, as it would require keeping a record of group members at any historical point in time, for reference.
Even if we optimized it, and only keep dates people joined or left the group - and conclude membership by this data. It would still be a HUGE effort to implement. Much bigger than the value we would get from it.
On the other hand, when looking at recent giveaway entry numbers, the figures are pretty accurate.
As in practice the turnover is really not that high.
So the feature is mostly working, and is mostly accurate (if you don't venture into very old giveaways).
P.S.
I also noticed you requested to rejoin the group, and then edited your message.
If you do wish to rejoin - please let me know.

Hi, I've been following this group for a while, and now that I have reached the requirements I would like to apply. :)
I have read the rules and agree to them. My first giveaway would be for Black Book.
Thanks for considering me. 😊

Hey RePlayBe,
Black Book got 18 of entries last time it was given away.
However it has been a part of the Humble Choice in February - so there's a good chance it will not get enough entries.
Do you want to take the risk, or try a different game?

Group invite sent.
Please don't forget to create your first GA within 48 hours, and that you cannot enter any group GAs (at all) until your first GA ends and is marked as received.

Hello!! I'd like to join for the March recruitment.
I have read through the extensive rules and wowee it looks like you have everything covered which I love. Everything seems nice and clear.
I would like to apply for a new members first giveaway, the game would be Valheim. I have looked on the entry checker and it seems this should hit the 16 entry rule. My profile is public, I won't enter any QGC only giveaways until this giveaway has finished (7 days). Also can commit to the future monthly giveaways and associated rules.

Hi, sorry for the late response MDK is busy. I will add you to the group and please create your GA (Valheim) within 48 hours.

Hi, both games that you proposed would not fulfill minimum entries (16) in the QGG group. Currently both games are wishlisted by respectively (DreamWorks Dragons: Dawn of New Riders - 5 members and Before We Leave - 12 members). I would advise to propose some other game as the first GA.
Comment has been collapsed.
Sorry but no. That one got 0 entries from the previous member who posted it.

Sorry man but I don't see you as a fit for this group. This game is WL by only 10 members. Thanks for showing interest tough.

Hey. I'm interested in joining your group. I would be giving away Blazing Chrome or Rising Hell or Destroy All Humans! if the other one doesn't qualify as the "new member first giveaway"

Our group name is also a statement of purpose. We strive to create an environment where all our members can have access to Quality Game Giveaways and a proper chance to win them.
It is a simple aim, or at least, it should be. Since the conception of the group, roughly 6 years have passed and time has shown us that while a goal might appear simple and direct, it will still require a proper structure for it to work. This means that our group rules came into shape after countless revisions and discussions, and while there is always room for flexibility and change, the most important thing is that they are there for good reason: to make things as fair as possible for everyone and ensure that only those who want the same things stay in the same group.
So if you....
...like to give back and enjoy quality games giveaways, this is the group for you.
...like for your games to be played and play the games you win, this can be the group for you.

How to check how many entries a game received when it was given away in QGG:
A word of advice: This is not one of those groups where nobody really checks what you do, so you can do whatever and nobody will care. This group is more similar to "Actually Playing Games" or "Playing Appreciated" where there are strict rules, and everyone needs to follow them to the T. If you're more a free spirit, who just wants to give some games and win some games, and not to think about it too much - this is not the group for you!
A word of advice #2: If you're thinking of joining the group, and entering as many giveaways as possible until you're kicked from the group - please don't!
Many have tried. All have failed. Our group management tool allows me to see exactly which GAs each member joins, and as soon as I detect new members trying this, this person is kicked from the group and blacklisted by all members.
Management of this group is done using the SGMT tool. All checks and verifications (new user, monthly, GA quality, etc.) are fully automatic.
