I get user not found no matter how I try to search for myself on the search reputation feature. Is it just when you search for yourself?

aayyyy you go to another website and its no longer together with steamgifts integrated in one site :( thats lame to be honest now and so confusing :/ is there any chance it will come back to steamgifts?? please say yes
Edit: can we have a button to return to steamgifts on that other website like u guys did on this website? That would make it already a bit easyer to use both

It used to be 2 different sites, then was merged into on with the redesign. But with the database being split into 2 completely independent sites, it's not likely that it could ever be merged again.

A link to Steamgifts would be nice. In a bit it won't be relevant to every user of the site though since they will have different members.

Why no link to the "Last" page on trade threads? This can get annoying quick with large threads.

Some things that could be improved:
I would suggest making the homepage more compact, adding a separate button in the top bar that links to a reputation search, and adding buttons to take you directly to the first or last page of a thread.

4.If i want check user using Enhanced Steam it redict me to SteamGIFTS, and here isnt any link to his trading profile, so its useless. We need some connect
Contact the dev of Enhanced Steam, it would be better if they updated from their end.

I like it, but the top banner is too big, lots of wasted space.
Edit 1: Also it mentions I have 159 reviews, yet in the reputations it's only 150 positive and 0 negative. Is the reviews different from that?
Edit 2: Another question, is there a way to search the title and not just "want" and "have", sometimes I'd like to search for traders from a certain store and that info tends to be in the title not the "want" and "have" sections.

Comments are no longer anonymous since it was almost impossible to understand context on most reviews.

Even better: Put an option to bump our trade posts without having to enter each of them to do so. xD

I just went through a number of (traumatic) reviews and be warned because most are just a few words, insults, bullying and vengeance or tit for tat retaliation.

I would cry with happiness if new review voting system could help me to get rid off false negative feedback from my profile. But currently it's so useless and can't help at all. It should show the both feedbacks left by each other imho. In my case, I posted valid evidences as a respond on feedback page of guy who scammed by impersonator of mine. If reviewer could see my feedback too, then he/she can understand what's actually happened and decide with more accuracy.
Moreover, I strongly believe the guy who left negative feedback wants to punish me for his stupidity. I posted evidences on his steam profile too. So, there is no way he didn't see them. There should limit and ban people from steamtrades who abuse reputation system.
And there should be room to add info on rep page to warn new traders against impersonators scammers. Previously I used to ask traders to add warning note on their feedback on top of each page. Now it's all mixed. We need fixed space for it !

It's honestly shit. Too many scammers will now have their negatives cleared because the people they scammed didn't write a fucking essay on how they did it (why would you expect the newbies who didn't know enough to get scammed to somehow know that they should gather evidence on the trade that screwed them?).
Just because someone just said "-Rep, Scammer" it doesn't mean it's not true. Especially when you consider that person might have 10+ of those.
An easy improvement would be showing the rep of the people who left and who received the feedback, rather than just removing all of them...

I like the biggest part of the redesign. The new profile page is great with all the new information. However, I have some suggestions and concerns:
More will be added to this comment later.

What is the argument for splitting up the site into two projects, monetizing? I instinctively feel that there is now a market for a unified site. But what the hell do I know :) I might come to terms having to browse multiple sites.

I would appreciate it if you would check my suggestiong, cg. :) I would also add a trade FAQ suggestion, but it seems like there's no intention to do so. Many of the changes you did are really good though. Bravo! :D

I got a question about voting on reviews. How should we vote if, for example, we see "traded for game name and it got later revoked", "he scammed me out of game name", "I gave him the key and he blocked me" etc. but without any proofs? The reasoning is kinda explained but since there are no proofs, should we treat it as "Do not sufficiently describe their trading experience but rely on general statements " and vote for removing?

well, I think we need more context. without it, if ppl don't provide proof (btw why? if I got scammed, I would write a detailed info with screenshots as proofs there), it's really hard to understand if it's true or not. On the one hand yes, they could be not bothering with writing a report and really got scammed, but on the other hand it could also be fake and the trade didn't even happen, or it was the trade with impersonator or smth else...

Which is why I think we should be able to see the rep of the people involved.
Trading noobs are the ones most likely to be scammed and not be knowledgeable in filling in a thorough report.
How many valid -reps do you think involved proper evidence?
I would put my money on more -reps being true but unfounded than being false.

However, with separate databases, this will mean usernames on SteamTrades may differ from those on SteamGifts, and suspensions on one site do not affect usage on the other
This is a welcome change that I think was long overdue. Both parts of it, in particular the latter.
Anyway, nice changes overall. Replies to one's negative feedback(s) is a good idea, however the one thing I have an issue with is the negative review voting. With the way it is set up there is no context to it (and sometimes context means everything), plus you are only being presented one (likely biased) view and not both sides of the story. I mean, would you serve on a jury and then make a decision only ever being presented arguments by one side? Of course not. To me this makes voting on something without being presented enough information about it to make an informed decision both frivolous and irresponsible. The fact that these uninformed statistics are used as criteria to automatically remove negative feedback is the biggest problem that I have with it however. I'm willing to compromise on that and say go ahead and merely display the voting statistics (similar to how reviews across the internet are voted on for their helpfulness factor) despite what I mentioned above, however feedback should NOT be automatically removed and this is a glaring mistake in my opinion.
edit: also, what if I want to keep my -1? oddly enough it may actually help deter impersonators? That's the theory anyway =P

Allow reviews that...
Explain the reasoning behind their negative trading experienceRemove reviews that...
Are related to events that took place prior to a trade (e.g. 'Low offer, wasted my time', 'Didn't follow through with trade')
What should I even do with reviews that are about someone being a jerk, offensive, flaming (hence negative experience) but also mentioning low offers and such. Hell, what on earth is negative trading experience? Can we now report then for being an asshole, or just straight-out scams? And if it is a scam, why is it sugarcoated as "negative trading experience" if someone stole our items/ money?

Hi SG, we're rolling out some updates to our trade section in the next 24 hours. These changes are mostly geared towards the separation of trades to SteamTrades.com, and improving on the feedback system. No major changes to the core of the trading system are happening in this particular update and the site will still maintain the familiar discussion based format. However, like most users, I'd like to see improvements in that area in the near future. Below is the upcoming announcement to be listed on SteamTrades.com, highlighting some of the more noteworthy changes.
User Reputation for All Steam Users
To help SteamTrades continue to grow as a leader in Steam user reputation, our site now allows reputation to be written for every individual with a Steam account. To leave a review for a user, simply visit our homepage and search for a Steam user using their Steam ID, Steam vanity name, or Steam profile URL. Once forwarded to their SteamTrades profile, you'll see an input box at the bottom of their profile allowing you to leave a review regarding your trading experience together.
Replies to Negative Reviews
If a user has left a negative review on your profile, SteamTrades now allows you to write a public reply to their review. This way you can better inform users visiting your profile about why that review exists, and at the same time it provides you with an opportunity to share additional details the user might have excluded from their review. Below a negative review on your profile you'll see a Reply button, which you can click to add your reply. Please note, replies are only available for negative reviews.
Negative Review Voting
To help improve the quality of negative reviews and to help remove negative reviews that do not meet our standards, we added a voting page, where users can vote on negative reviews from others in the community. Using the guidelines listed, users can vote on whether a negative review should be allowed, or whether it should be removed from our site. Reviews will be automatically removed if decided on by the community.
User Profiles and Safety Check
User profiles now contain a safety check. This data is updated hourly, and helps you to be aware of any Steam infractions a user may have against their account (such as VAC or game bans). As well, user profiles show when a user registered on Steam, when they were last logged into Steam, their Steam level, and their game count (if their Steam account is public). Combined with our user reviews, this data can help you better determine a user's overall reputation before trading.
Design and Interface
Our entire site has been redesigned and recoded with a wide variety of improvements. The changes allows for quicker replies, and overall faster load times. Our database is now separate from our sister site, SteamGifts. Users with previous trades or reputation have been automatically moved to our new site. However, with separate databases, this will mean usernames on SteamTrades may differ from those on SteamGifts, and suspensions on one site do not affect usage on the other. For that reason, profiles on SteamTrades link to Steam IDs, rather than usernames to help avoid confusion.
