There's way too much to list them... But you can have my voucher for these anytime: Half Life, System Shock 2, Thief series, Anachronox, ICO (although this one's PS2), Carmageddon 2, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 + Yuri's Revenge, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Quake, Neverwinter Nights, The Longest Journey. Can't remember too much more now, but that should od it for quite some time.

Lots of good games in that timeframe. Always at the top of my list is Planescape: Torment, which was released in '99. If you haven't played it, you should.

that... is a hard one. Id have to say Sim Tower, icebreaker (that might have been before 97),theme hospital, Zeus master of olympus, age of empires... or roller coaster tycoon... + Diablo of course. ahhh and cant forget about total annihilation!

btw i forgot to say thanks =( whoops!

keep thinking of more.. Might and Magic 7: mandate of heaven was great and grim fandango, homeworld was pretty boss, Recoil was fun as hell...
