Anyone else scared off the blacklist thing?

I don't particularly care, really. I haven't entered a single giveaway for about 2 years now, if memory serves, since I've accumulated such a large backlog that it would make no sense to accept gifts at this time, but that didn't stop people to put me on both white- and blacklists. Most puzzling is that I usually comment once every two months or so here, so that kinda makes people making any sort of an opinion on me a mystery.

just joking :P i really do not care about the blacklist,,, cause it works both ways...;; they wont see my posts and giveaways and i will not see them anymore.... problem solved. there are too many fish in the pond to worry about that one with a broken flipper...

It's simple really. If you behave you don't get blacklisted. If you still get blacklisted it's not worth worrying because only retards do that. So what you want to do is just blacklist them back.
I got blacklisted once for not fullfilling a certain sent/won quota by someone. Plain bullsh*t reason since you can simply use SGTools to filter out anything you want to so I just blacklisted him back and never heared of him again. One less moron jumping aroung ruining my mood :)

Um... no? Why should I care if someone decided to blacklist me? It's their own choice and I probably won't ever know about it anyway.
Then again, I'm never openly hostile to anyone and always double check everything I post for anything I might have missed or that might be misinterpreted so I like to think that I don't offend people often. :P

I'd be more curious as to why some people care about the whole blacklisting thing so much in the first place. I'm pretty sure that not everyone's reason is that they are afraid that random people on the Internet would dislike them (speaking of which, you really shouldn't be so worried about what random strangers think about you).

I will admit I dislike being blacklisted but I don't hold back because of it.
If I decide I want to comment something then generally it is something I think is worth saying/doing either to add something useful or because I find it funny :p Yes, my sense of humor may be wildly different from other people

When I find out I am blacklisted by someone I do wish I would know the reason. For example: I do not care much if I am disliked but I do care if I accidentally hurt someone. In that last case I'd like to fix it :)

People blacklisting others for no reason but for 'fun'. I don't get that. Makes me want to shrug.

I used to be a bit scared of it, but now I've set myself a goal of at least posting 200 comments per month. Otherwise I'll never reach my objective of getting over 5000 comments (I'm close).
I'm gonna become a recognizable SGer even if I need to annoy my way there.

Hey Yoshi, I just freaked out a moment ago because... I got my first BL entry. Can't even remember what I did yesterday for that to happen, but I obviously did something to someone.
I guess I still wont stop writing, what I think and want, but it definitely feels kinda strange O.o

I only know of one person that blacklisted me, who just seems to have no sense of humor or something, because he took my joke way too seriously and decided i'm trying to cheat the system or something. Anyway, point is, he can go **** himself.

I made some easter giveaways and posted them here as they were invite-only, got 5 blacklists.
You shouldn't be, you probably don't have anything to miss from such people.

No i wouldnt say im afraid of blacklists , earlier this week i was on 2 but now its down to 1 for whatever reason and im on 9 WL so aparantly im 9 times as good as im bad ;->

But even if not afraid of blacklists i try not to act like a jackass but rather treat others the way i like to be treated , but that dosent mean i will hold back if i feel like someone steps over the line

I'm not particularly concerned about it and now I hate you. Therefore, you're now on another whitelist. :) I was blacklisted literally 20 minutes after joining the site so don't let it bother you. Odds are the people who blacklist you aren't people whose opinions you should really care about; from what I've seen the good members of the community here won't blacklist you just for starting a discussion or making comments as long as you don't act like an asshole.

I've got more people blacklisting me than whitelisting but a few people have still whitelisted me, so that must mean I'm doing something right. That or they whistelisted me for the same reason others blacklisted me and evil minds just think alike.
Either way, if I can enter a giveaway, I will. If I can't, I won't. As long as I'm not kicked off/banned from the site, I'll still be here.
I'd suggest the same for you. I know I don't have the thickest of skin, but some people are just gonna be like "y'know what? They said something dumb. They're going in the bad corner." Even if you didn't say or do anything dumb, some people will just do it anyway. You just do you and let them do them and surf those waves, brah. Cowabunga!
