Are you holding back cause of the blacklist?
I think there are some topic I somewhat avoid, like stuff that might make people jealous, but in general it's not like there's something I really wanted to talk about or said that I stopped myself from saying to avoid blacklisting... So far the only blacklists I actually noticed were by people were I (kinda) deserved it... and they were taken back... I mean, I'm still on a few blacklists according to the stats, but I've not yet ended up at any GA by those people...

Honestly I wonder how many are serious with their "I'm afraid to answer" vote. An answer like that on an anonymous poll can be seen as the joke option and without the usual Potato answer, that would most likely be the choice for the jokers on this site. Not that there wouldn't be any serious answers there as well, but I'd rather have seen a poll with just yes and no options.

Nah, I don't hold back because of the blacklisting. I try to express my opinions, polarizing or otherwise. If someone doesn't like it, it's their prerogative. If someone wants to be petty and blacklist me because they disagree with something I said, more power to them.

i don't give a fuc... about blacklist...people will blacklist for whatever reason. I personally...blacklist people wining 40,50,60,100..200 games and only gifting 20 or like that...and then they are saying "i don't have money to gift games"(when you look their steam profile you see they have 1k games...

i never used it. Anyways is up to us to blacklist or whitelist anyone.

Plus I don't try to say anything offensive, so if someone is so outraged by what I say and the opinions I present. Then I don't really want to win anything from them anyway.

I just like how people who blacklist others for no apparent reason think they are somehow relevant. You should voice your opinions/questions without fear, that's what forums (Discussions) are for.

Personally, I don't give a shit what people think about me. If they think I'm a dick, good for them. If they think I'm great, well, I guess I kind of care then. I always post what I want and don't care what people think of it.

it bothered me the 1st couple of times... after that whenever i tried to join a ga from forum and noticed i was blacklist i just leave this coment or a variation of it: seems i'm blacklisted so goodluck all who enter and i move on got me out of some blacklists xD i dont want drama so meh why bother?

I don't care about being blacklisted, I use my blacklist mainly for rule breakers or people who giveaway free games and never gave anything else away. Almost 800 entries on it now, I only wish that the blacklist worked 2 ways. I hate checking before I enter a giveaway if the creator is on my blacklist.

After you install GreaseMonkey add-on on Chrome or Firefox go to this link and click on the link of the script. GreaseMonkey will automatically open and on that page you just need to click install.

I'm scared not because some ppl blacklisted me, but because of reasons why.
I mean - im trying to be a part of this community and because i try to discuss, ppl try to punish me. I will say some less popular opinion on something - bah, 10 ppl blacklisted me, but none of them tried to prove me wrong. Too stupid to find arguments ? Or scared to talk with someone who thinks differently ?
But today we have a winner - some guy(or grill) blacklisted me because yesterday i posted a key in some "gleam.io ga" topic. Key was naked (without description which game it is) since I was in a rush.
To save your time people - my ratio is bad, so feel free to blacklist the person who try be active. I mean - it's easier than checking giveaways and find lurkers who have even worse ratio than me, but almost no one blacklisted them since they are quiet and don't care about rest of the community.

It was discussed several times. Most of these larger changes are usually ending the same: about 45-55% stays in favour, so it stays. Blacklists and the CV system in general has been argued upon many, many times, but the end result is always the same. As in, staying the same.

I did read all the discussions, but on those there was never the fact that so many people are scared and cause of the frear they hold back to say whats on their minds
Maybe it would have been better if their had to be a blacklist that it wasnt anonymous and you had to fill in a reason why you bl someone

This is a big assumption, that everyone answered honestly to the exact question in the poll. I can bet peanuts against gold that many "yes" come from ones that are against blacklist in general.
For example, it's very common to see a thread with OP stating he's unfairly blacklisted. 15 minutes later - bam - suspended for non-activations.
A while back there was campaingn against ppl saying thanks in giveaways. Because it's "spam", making GA page load longer...
I'd not be surprised if some BL came from ppl thinking that all threads and posts should contain GAs, because everything else is a waste of their time
The reason thingie would be a very bad thing. Typical reason would be one word labelling wide category. "konrad", "nazi" - only one person knows what it really means, one reading it lacks context and would start a flame because he feels offended. And there are cryptic labels like "nax4" - completly meaningless for anyone but bl owner

But any statistical data cannot be taken with face value. Ppl often form opinion and answer different question than asked. Not of dishonesty, mind you, this is how brains work. For sociological studies, way how question(s) are formed is of utmost importance. There is even a saying: there are small lies, big lies and statistics p

SG should at least block both ways when you press the blacklist button
Some people would just abuse it. Example: X is giving away a game Y wants. Y quickly un-blacklists X and enters, then re-blacklists X. (Unless there was some sort of cool down implemented or entries become invalid, people will cheat the system).

The only issue with that is, say I have 990 people on my blacklist and the I get blacklisted 11 more times. If they get auto added/blocked to mind I would have 1001, which is not possible since blacklist cap at 1000.

It's not that simple as you may think.
When a gifter is left unhappy after being forced to deliver gift too many times he deals with it. Just not the way you think - he just limits his gifts to members of closed groups.
After new version of blacklisting was introduced, some of them came back to public space. SGTools are bringing back even more of them.
Honestly, what's the difference if I can't enter a GA because it's group only and because I'm on blacklist? None. But someone will get the gift he wouldn't otherwise

I mean too many different winners. Like, for example, when you make puzzles, catch someone on spoiling it and sometime later you have to gift him a game. Or yours with someone falsely claiming key was bad. Too many times you meet with such cases and you throw a towel and call it quits
As I said, from my perspective BL or group GA is no different. Can't enter it anyway. But BL is better because someone from outside of small group will benefit.
As to him entering my GAs. I don't mind, and in one case it gave me a healthy chuckle. I have my reasons for blacklisting and revenge for putting me on someones BL is not one of them

Sometimes I dont say what I want to say, because the blacklist thing scares me off. Mainly cause everybody can blacklist anyone without any reason
I was wondering if anyone else is having the same feelings about the blacklist thingie. Its not that I cant enter their giveaways, but more a thought of people disliking me. I know maybe it sounds stupid and people will probably blacklist me even for asking this...but thats ok got to get over the fear of the blacklist
Or dont you care about who or why people are blacklisting you?
