The Purge
Offers very little info on The Purge has an holiday, yet pretends to be thought provoking satire.
Its not even about minorities, that was added in the sequels.
So, yeah...it takes the concept but it turned to be a home invasion flick.
There is actually a lot of Home Invasion movies on a similar budget with better writing and acting. Personally i found it to be atrocious.
At the very least, i was expecting more dynamic sequences, everything just seems boring.
Which is surprising because it made a lot of money, yet is by far the worst movie in the trilogy.
The one point, goes to the villain, i liked him, he was probably way to much into the purge
1/10
The Purge: Anarchy
The most by the numbers movie in the trilogy. It explores the concept, though, most likely what the first movie should have been, if it had the budget.
There is some traces of an actual movie here and there and the addition of character development
It also fixes Purge as a concept and its objectives to something slightly,i wouldn't say believable, but better, if not only because now you see the event from the eyes of the right people.
Homeless people still roaming the streets, that will be addressed in the next installment.
2.5/10
The Purge: Election Year
This one is watchable, it's silly, over the top, every line has the word "cocksucker".
Basically it tries to do its best impression of Escape from New York. There are girls taken/stolen from Spring Break...this is dumb fun, it just took like what? 3 movies?
People actually bring guillotines to the purge, i wasnt this a thing before?
6/10
And this goes for every one of these movies: Jump scares before the purge starts are fucking useless!

I went to the movies again! I saw Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.
It was uh... pretty much the typical action film:)
But I like Robin Sh- I mean Cobie Smulders. And I like the faces Tom Cruise makes, so it was enjoyable even if the movie didn't stand out!

Pain & Gain
Surprisingly, this is the kind of trash movies i can enjoy.
A self aware, mean spirited, offensive movie, that ridicules everyone and everything, victims and all.
Still very far from being a good movie, its entertainment that's it.
In fact the cinematography is mostly dull, a good portion of the movie is made of ass and silicone titties close ups. Which, unlike Transformers, has a reason to look the way it does, that is if you want to shame a particular culture, with all its excesses.
Anyway, could have been better without the childish anti humor. obviously there are no charismatic characters, and it is lacking when it comes to satire.
6/10
Interstellar
Rewatched.
A good blend of action and drama.
Martian is more of my kind of pacing and structure.
though if you compare the 2, it's clear Ridley has been landing himself to his experience in the past few years.
Individual scenes alone there isn't anything gorgeous going on with the martian.
7/10
The Edge
Survival thriller.
It's actually quite good, some pieces of dialogue could have been put on the poster.
Even with some undeveloped characters, there's at least enough going on with Charles Morse, his character and love life. it's somewhat open to interpretation
7/10

Pain & Gain was so fun to watch lol. Interstellar is 10/10, period.

Agreed on Interstellar. First time I watched it, I liked it a lot except the end. Second time I watched it, the whole film was even more amazing and enjoyable. One of my top 10 movies for sure.

Arrival (2016) - Saw it in the cinema. It's a very good sci-fi movie starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker. Not as great as people make it out to be though. 8/10
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (2016) - Saw it in the cinema. It's a Harry Potter spin-off and it's very good, what else is there to say? Humor was great and Kowalski is the best character without a doubt. The plot was predictable though. 8/10
Ant-Man (2015) - Amazing movie based on a comic book. Original, fun, packed with action. Recommended. 9/10
To Rome With Love (2012) - Very good drama/comedy/romance directed by Woody Allen. I love his movies, he never disappoints. 8/10
Shut In (2016) - Saw it in the cinema. Well, it's below average. Boring and very stupid, way too often. 4/10

Hobo with a Shotgun
The good kind of trash movie. Violence exploited to the extremes, tied together by the most basic vigilante hero plot. Also, Rutgers Hauer proving he can nail every role he chooses to play.

War Of The Worlds (2005) - Very good sci-fi movie about alien invasion starring Tom Cruise. It was rather predictable but photographs were amazing and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. 8/10
Super 8 (2011) - This is how E.T. should have looked like. Very fun movie. 8/10
The Forest (2016) - Decent horror movie saved by the last 20 minutes cause the first hour is pretty bland and boring. 6/10
Allied (2016) - Saw it in the cinema. Well, critics once again prove they don't know shit about good cinema. The movie is very good albeit a bit predictable. 8/10
World War Z (2013) - Good movie but could have been better if it was Rated R and less predictable. Still, an enjoyable watch. 7/10

Pee-wee's Big Holiday
Same old formula, kinda how Mr Bean movies are, except with a stoner like sense of humor.
It's not actually awful, at least when compared to the PT score on Netflix. Paul reuben does his character though the situations themselves a bit too far off.
I want to give it some credit, but i swear someone wrote it in a day while smoking a joint.
There are some obscure references to sleazy B-movies.
and of course, the best love story ever because Pee-wee is totally gay for Big Dick Richie. I mean...it's so stupid and out of character that i can't help but laugh at it.
But yeah...watch the Tim burton movie, it's miles away better than this
5/10
Child's Play
Surprised to find this on Netflix. No it's not the movie with the possessed doll.
It's about a mysterious cult on a catholic school. Probably just a minor movie in Sidney Lumet filmography
Somethings i like alot, its tense, well acted by the major characters and one hell of an ending.
On the other hand it feels kinda cheap and rapidly made.Biggest problem, and because it has a religious theme, of course it shows at all times evil has a physical entity to the very end.
It kinda sucks that the end can be summarized in one line, there is really nothing major or simbolic to it.
6.5/10
Maleficent
Better than i imagined.
It's partially a revenge flick...it sort of goes on from there, but still pretty original for a disney movie.
The ending absolutely sucks, especially considering there is a sequel on the way...no idea how someone would continue from there...then again thats exactly what Disney Direct to DVD was all about, and they did manage to suck money out of people nonetheless.

Dredd (2012) - Beautiful, masculine type of cinema. Great action flick all around. 9/10
Sully (2016) - Saw it in the cinema. It's a very good movie based on real events directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart. 8/10
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) - Saw it in the cinema. Best SW movie of the XXI century, period. Beautiful photographs, tons of action, very good acting, great music, interesting story and good emotional load. Last 15 minutes were epic. The whole movie is a must see, not only for SW fans. Probably gonna see it again tomorrow. 10/10

Predator (1987) - Super cliche, but I consider it a classic if not only for the bad ass one liners Arnold delivers constantly 7/10

La La Land (2016) - The rare film that isn't afraid to wear its heart on its sleeve in this day of hipsterdom and easy cynicism. And what a heart it wears - and with such confidence and style - while (literally) hitting all the right notes up to the very end. They don't make movies like this any more, as they say. Watched it in the cinema with the wife. It was the perfect film for our night out, and it should be the next thing you watch (preferably with a date, because you'll both fall in love).

Here we go, I'll start.
Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2010) - This movie is a joke. At first it's interesting, then it's boring and then it's just funny/pathetic. And they put it in a "horror" genre. Words are not sufficient. Nosferatu is turning in his grave. 3/10
