You might have Steam Syndrome if you just have games on your account because you like looking at a list of games you own... Not playing them, just looking.
You might have Steam Syndrome if you beg your IRL friends to join Steam just so you can "hang out" with them in a game or something rather than interacting with them IRL.(Borderlands lolz)
You might have Steam Syndrome if you reserve a portion of your bank account/paycheck every month just to buy Steam games with. You know it's a bad habit but THE DEALS ARE JUST TOO GOOOD!

You have steam syndrome if... you track your community activity everyday to check what has been happening since the last time.

.
"Steam Syndrome"
(Proposed name; propose a better name if you have one)
.
A tongue-in-cheek name for this thing so many of us are afflicted with:
The compulsion, impulse, drive, or urge to do the following despite having more games than you could ever play in your available time...
.
You may have Steam Syndrome if:
You buy or trade for ever more Steam games despite having more than you could play
You buy every 75+% off Steam sale and bundle of games that comes available, even if they're kinda lame
You grow your Steam library for its own satisfaction
You pass on non-Steam deals no matter how good they are, yelling Y U NO STEAM?
You keep your "Activate a Product on Steam..." window open 24/7 for key drops (Leires)
You check SteamGifts constantly even away from home (school/class, work, on a trip, etc.) (abcxyz91)
You Pre-Order AAA titles you don't play (wykydvamp)
You have more Traders on your Friends List than actual friends
You have more untouched games in your library than played games (thedoctor1ko)
You spend more time on SteamGifts than Steam (Tuffdog)
You are in possession of more TF2 keys than hours played (emotionengine)
You maintain spreadsheets of all the keys and Gift URLs you may or may not activate at some point (emotionengine)
You curb the rest of your daily internet usage so that you have enough bandwidth to download new games (caerbannog)
Your hard drive can only hold a small fraction of your collection at any given time (emotionengine)
The first thing you check when you turn on your computer is the Steam 'Daily Deal' (MrFredgrim)
You already own every game key you try to Ninja (Osiris11235)
Your game library has more value than your monthly income (Exinoz22)
Your huge Library no longer satisfies, so you move on building your Inventory
?
? What are some other symptoms and descriptions?
You might have Steam Syndrome if you _____ (reply = filling in the blank)
Best lines will be added to the OP w/credits.
P5: Naughty enabler, tee hee. Thar may also be key drops around here
