Damn, was going to make a Sims based guess.
I'll try a game with a very similar UI. Blockbuster Inc.?

I cannot believe this popped into my head so easily, but I remember watching Call Me Kevin play it, is it Desperate Housewives: The Game?

I found this game illegitimately, and legit.
I'm trying to decide if I would have done the legit search without already knowing what it is.
Surprised I hadn't heard of it before given the art and animation look great.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well that last image should certainly help anyone who remembers the game.

There are no solid guesses still so I will answer.
The game is UFOs
That third picture had me looking up Ovide Video, because I couldn't remember what he looked like.
Then I was curious who that platypus character was, and think I image searched off him.
The way I found it without image matching was searching for video game platypuses.
Most of these were for a game called platypus, but there were a few adventure games in there.

Strange, it works fine on my end, even when I'm logged out of imgur... anyway, this first picture is a blurry mess even if you don't view it in a bigger resolution, but let me tell you, the whole "playable" area looks like what you can see right now. And yes, that's an arm/hand :D
Edit: ok so aside from my main computer (Windows, Opera), I tried accessing these 2 screenshots from my steam deck (linux, firefox) and my phone (firefox as well). Main computer no issues, steam deck only the first screenshot works, and as for my phone none of my screenshots are available... that's quite an odd bug :/
Maybe try another browser if you have one? I seriously have no idea what's going on here.
Comment has been collapsed.
It is very weird. Tried different browser, tried on phone. Always get 404. But I can see miniature here.
Some images do work, just trying to figure out the cause. If you don't see your own images on your phone it is unlikely to be region blocking. Very bizzare.
Anyway thanks for reply
Comment has been collapsed.
I get this with some peoples images, and not others.
Also no idea what the difference is between a 404 and a valid click through.
imgur do seem to have changed some stuff though.
I normally open my images in another tab and link direct to the image without the imgur border.
it used to be clicking to open a bigger picture from this thread would then open the picture on it's own.
Those pictures now open with the imgur surround too.
Comment has been collapsed.
The difference between imgur border/ui and no border is if the link leads to i.imgur with image extension in url, or just imgur with no file extension.in url
See these two from previous guess

https://i.imgur.com/3ZHWe4A.jpeg
So it is user choice how to post those images
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, both of those opening with the border.
It used to work like you said, which was the point I was making.

I knew it! I had hoped someone would guess Elden Ring because I specifically took these screenshots of areas that look like it could be from that game lol
But you are wrong, it's not ER.
If I may give you a hint though, your guess wasn't that far off. I can see similarities in both games. (Though I personally find the game I'm looking for to be more fun)

Never played any dark souls games, but the first pic it made me think of it.

https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Sword_Coast
"The Sword Coast was an expansive tract of wilderness, dotted with independent cities and overrun by bands of monstrous creatures, that some saw as merely a place through which you had to travel in order to reach an actual meaningful destination. It was much more than that of course, a rich and vibrant land with a long and storied history that encompassed some of the most important cities in all the Realms."

At first glance I wanted to say Monster Hunter, but it's STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN (0:33 on the video)

Damn I was about to guess that yesterday, but when I glanced at some footage I didn't see any armour like that.
Oh well at least my Final Fantasy vibes I got were right.

This reminds of PS2 era, and since its not RE nor SH, it is Clock Tower series ?

Can you be a tiny... bit more specific on the title? :D

Haunting Ground ?
Is the only one I've watched someone play so I'll throw my hat on that :D

I didn't say "no" to your previous reply, just to be a bit more specific!
Comment has been collapsed.
Haunting Ground is part of the Clock Tower series, well its a spin off :D
The other games I don't know anything, but based on the graphics I doubt its 1 or 2. So Clock Tower 3 if its not Haunting Ground.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for showing the parts from where the imagines are :D
Also, my god, Capcom really need to bring back to life this game.
Comment has been collapsed.
...Haunting Ground/Demento has nothing to do with Clock Tower, stop misleading people. It just has similar gameplay, but it's not connected to Clock Tower in any way, shape, or form. It's not "spin off of Clock Tower" and never was. Also, "Clock Tower 3" is not "3", because they 'dun goofucked it all up (Crapcon and westerner lolcowlizators), as in reality it's actually 4. Clock Tower 2 is NOT "Clock Tower" and Ghost Head is NOT "Clock Tower II". Clock Tower "3" is a direct sequel of Ghost Head, and Ghost Head is a half-midquel half-sequel of actual genuine Clock Tower 2, the plot/characters' backgrounds of "3" actually begin in Ghost Head, thus making "3" it's direct sequel, a "Clock Tower 4" in reality, not "3" in the slightest. Crapcon screwed up royally (and literally killed the entire franchise, with no chance of ever recovering) by brainlessly dubbing it as "3" even in Japan, which is absolutely inane bullshit.
Ghost Head is Clock Tower series' equivalent to what Outbreaks, BIOHAZARD Last Escape, and Gun Survivor are in "Resident Evil" series' continuity. They're "side stories" and midquels in the timeline, not actual sequels. Last Escape should've never been dubbed "Resident Evil 3", because it's not that in the slightest, as Code Veronica is the actual legitimate BIOHAZARD 3 and always was, NOT "Nemesis". And as far as the entire (quite thoroughly defiled and completely ruined by westerner lolcowlizators) proper lining of Clock Tower franchise goes, it's solely only this: Clock Tower (Super Famicom, PC, Wonderswan) / First Fear (enhanced PSOne port of the first game, which was released AFTER Clock Tower 2 already came out) -> Clock Tower 2 (bastardized as "Clock Tower" in the west, which is just BULLSHIT, because CT 2 is a direct sequel of first game, starting right where first game ended) -> Ghost Head (bastardized, thoroughly censored/altered and ruined in the west, shitted out as "Clock Tower II: Struggle Within") -> Clock Tower 4 (bastardized/ruined by Crapcon, brainlessly mislabeled as "Clock Tower 3" while in reality not being that in the slightest).

Curious to see if it is, as I can't place it.
Those table corners not lining up would make lumpy cover, so I am thinking probably not.

I see, I didn't know you could upgrade the place where the magic animals were. But then again, I rushed the end of my playthrough because most of the riddles and stuff you can do is basically just copy & paste. It felt like a chore. So I just focused on the main story and went on.
And Hogsmeade felt just as dead to me :/ too bad.

Don't get me started on that spell xD
I literally had to mod my game so the see-through effects of interactable objects and enemies after a Revelio was basically non-existent anymore. Only to force myself not to cast that spell every 5 steps... honestly, this game could've been way better if the devs only restricted a couple mechanics that were common in other "popular" games.
Oh, and I also removed the colored bubble of enemies' Protego spell. It made battles harder but more interesting. The only way to find out if your target has a Protego shield is when you attack them once, you may see your spell get reflected elsewhere and leave a small smoke puff in the shield's color behind. These 2 mods alone made my experience much better :D

My first contact with this title was around the beginning of the second half of the 90s (I was still playing on 8-bit, although I had an Amiga, SNES and Mega Drive at home). I bought it on a pirated Famiclone cartridge. I had no idea about the existence of such a game (because how on earth could a game based on Die Hard be released on a console that is supposed to be a toy for children?) and I was almost convinced that it was some Chinese or Russian hack. My suspicions were fueled by the fact that the game is full of various glitches and graphic slowdowns on an unprecedented scale for the NES. It was only years later, when access to the Internet became widespread, that I read that it was an authentic product (similar to Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street).
Either way, I never had enough strength and determination to seriously try to beat it. Nevertheless, it must be admitted that it was quite an ambitious project, especially for an American 8-bit production.

But don't forget: the url must be the direct link to the image, which looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/......
And to stay on topic, is that from Crypt of the Necrodancer? Or maybe the Legend of Zelda version of this game; Cadence of Hyrule?

Note that it must be a link to your image, not to the imgur post. (i.e., right click on the image and choose "Copy image address")
And I have no idea... Wizard of Legend perhaps?
Comment has been collapsed.
Imho, Cadence of Hyrule was way more engaging and feels more like a story game because the map is entirely connected instead of jumping from one randomly created area into the other. I liked it better and if I had to recommend one of them, Cadence would be the choice, and you can basically skip the original Crypt :D
Buuuut that's only my opinion.
Btw, Cadence of Hyrule with a friend in couch co-op is too much fun.

Children of Morta?
There is another game I want to guess more, but I can't recall it well enough to find out what it is called.

Hammerwatch
From the angle of that ladder I thought the game was on an iso grid, should have looked more at the floor tiles.

Was just about to cross out my guess to swap to that.

Yup, that's it!
It is one of the initial level intro cinematic shots. I figured I'd start with the logo and go from there if no one recognized it. Well done! I LOVE this game, the main campaign is chill enough to get through without much hassle, the visuals are spot on, and the music integrated with the feel of the levels is top notch. Hell, I revisit the game a couple times a year in VR and its an experience! Highly recommend, especially if you are looking for a chill track game.

Already have 200+ hours on it, so pretty know the game :)
Keep playing mainly for the custom content, because the game have a insane amount of tracks in the game, and many of them are really good.
Fun fact, was the third game i have bought on steam (in 2019), first one was BallisticNG, and second one was Hero Siege.

What is a boogaloo?
The Electric Boogaloo is a dance style that became meme-ified to denote crazy sequels, as popularized by the 1984 film Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. While we are not break dance battling here, it is kind of like a screenshot battle and hence, the "screenshot boogaloo".
