Mostly the orange and white, and I thought that could possibly be Neo Paris, or what ever they call it in the game.

IF IT'S 95% DARKNESS THERE'S A REASONABLE CHANCE IT TO BE DOOM 3
jokes aside on my phone it was a BLACK picture even at max brightness, and couldn't open it in a new tab not to get flashbanged by the brightness of SG. Seen some silhouettes while I long pressed on it, but only for half a second before getting the context menu.

Some screens are totally different. On my gaming pc's screen you can clearly see the contrast and different colors while on my steam deck this picture is just a black rectangle and you can barely see any details. I should've checked before.
Ok, note to self: no more screenshots of dark/black areas in games!
btw: now that the game was revealed, don't you think it's funny to have Luigi's Mansion confused with Doom 3? Imagining stuff is fun :D

Omg omg omg it's a ghost in the bathtub in Luigi's Mansion!

That is Neocron.
Did you play? It was one I was interested in but never tried.

I have it that my first idea was Majesty, but I know that the art doesn't fit, so can't be that :D
Had youtube recommendations about Diggles, but that's more sideways-looking
The Nations is too pixely... and it's too late right now to really look up games, then making everyone wait half a day before I could post a new one :P

It was a blind shot. The princess in the second screenshot doesn't look like much of a Persian. :)
As for the mystery game - I remembered that in the early 2000s a Prince of Persia 3D knock-off came out on PC (the full version was on a cover CD added to one of the Polish gaming magazines) under the title "Arabian Nights". I'm almost certain that's the game from the screenshots.

Sorry to keep you waiting.
HINT #1: The screenshots are from the arcade version of the game, which was eventually released on a whole bunch of home machines.
HINT #2: The protagonist of the mystery game is a rather hilarious character who, in some crazy way, has become the unofficial mascot of the company behind the arcade.

One of the early Heroes of Might and Magic games?

I'm so sorry that you feel left alone, some topics really bump too often to notice the topic (and I was away whole saturday, but I'm not the only person on the forum :P )
Though personally I have no idea, but it annoys the fuck out of me because I'm sure I've seen the first picture somewhere.

Well, in your defense, what were the chances someone was playing this game right now?

Damn there are a lot of Sonic fan games, thought that hint might have made it easy.
Don't know if your fan game is in 3D, but that tiling in the first picture looks it.
Will try Sonic Robo Blast 2?

Sort of reminds me of Sins of a Solar Empire. I had a few buddies who played that game religiously lol

Freelancer looks nothing like that. Neither does Starlancer. Nor any of the Wing Commanders. And sure as hell not Tachyon.
And absolutely definitely not any of the X games. And most certainly not Evochron. And very assuredly not Descent/FreeSpace.
And totally not Homeplanet. And never ever Battlecruiser 3000 A.D. And this has nothing in common whatsoever with Star Citizen.

Seems like we got an overabundance of games set in space. At this point it's like finding a single rice corn in a desert. So why don't we create a new genre of games? How about... a car game where you illegaly race across well driven roads? Surely nobody has ever thought about that, as we're all behaving, law abiding citizens. Oh! Or how about a game where you shoot others? This never existed before!
Silly jokes aside, nice Lina Inverse profile pic.

Nah, it's just me personally being a total space-sim freak. I played it all (ALL). I could've go on and on for hours, if I wished. But I'm currently way too weak/lazy, due to all the medication after the stomach surgery I had to undergo recently (still recovering, so far).

Well, since you told me you played all these games, I kind of want to know which one of them you would recommend to someone like me, who has played only Freelancer and Everspace. I enjoyed both of those but I can't decide for any other game. I've had Elite Dangerous and No Man's Sky on my radar since both are playable in VR as well. Maybe you can help a little bit?
Get well soon, though. Being sick sucks.

DarkStar One is literally full-on "German Freelancer". It's much more quirkier and comedic in tone, though. Le "German humor" et al.
Also, obviously and naturally, do Starlancer (available on PC and Dreamcast) eventually, for lore/plot enrichment purposes. No Man's Sky is an absolute must-have, a definite default requirement nowadays, after all the updates, fixes, and patches it had. It's topdog.
If you wish to enrich your gaming knowledge and accumulate more experience overall, also try doing "Tachyon - The Fringe", because Bruce Campbell (yes, THE chinman) rules. Just don't consume it in it's vanilla state, since it has bugs, memory leaks, and doesn't support modern mice or resolutions by default. Run it strictly with nGlide wrapper, as it's the only way to play it nowadays.
Also try Homeplanet (it's a SUPER-hardcore REAL Newtonian physics-based space-sim'esque shooter from early 2000's, similar to Wing Commander in gameplay, but with real physics. It's initially a Russian-made product, but was released in US at some point, if I recall correctly. I don't think it's expansion/add-on "Playing With Fire" was ever out in westerner countries, however) if you're feeling like you want to have "Dark Souls of space sims"-like experience, as it's very hard, but extremely satisfying at the same time.
There are also slightly-less obvious games, such as Space Rangers (a initially-Russian series as well, though way more well known than Homeplanet ever got to be), FTL (the "Darkest Dungeon or space sims"), Flatspace duology. Also do Evochron and X games.
P.S.
I would've also suggested (NOT recommended, though) trying Russian-made space-sim product called "Tomorrow War", released in 2006 (available on Steam since 2009), which is a video game adaptation of a very popular series of sci-fi space opera books by a famous duo of writers going under the pen name "Alexander Zorich", but, unfortunately, the game's production was botched quite heavily and it's rife with inconsistencies in plot lines, glitches, and it's also one of the very first cases of blatant and very unapologetic "product placement" in video gaming industry's history (characters of the game advertise "Shock" chocolate bar and other popular-at-the-time snacks, through the entire game, constantly consuming that junk on camera and etc., it's been a long-running meme in CIS' gamer circles for decades). The only reason to play this game nowadays, is for streaming memery, and also because it has 3 endings, so there's at least some "replayability value" to it. The vanilla source material books are vastly superior, however, obviously.

Now that's what I call a wall to text. Much more than I had hoped for. Thanks for your input.
I'll try Homeplanet later today. And maybe DarkStar One after that. Man, these graphics scream "early 2000s" and I love it! Hope the difficulty of Homeplanet is as hard as you say.
And as for No Man's Sky: I religiously want to avoid this game as much as possible because its devs advertised it to be so much more and when they finally released it, it was broken and nothing like what they promised. They basically LIED to get more sales. But I think you know all about that catastrophic release.
I might not be able to play all of these games because of time reasons, but at least one of them can fill this hole. Thanks again :D

Sean never lied. He just tried to bite more than he could chew on, at the time. He was also heavily pressured by Soyny. Nowadays, however, No Man's Sky is absolutely flawless, just a real total perfection. It's literally one of the best space sims and open-world games ever made, period. Ignoring/dissing it in these current days makes no reasonable sense whatsoever at all, as they delivered on everything (literally every single last thing) Sean Murray promised and envisioned initially, eventually, and then greatly expanded and upgraded upon all of that so much further that even the initial promises pale in comparison. The game is a very solid 10/10 now.
You should really go and watch these two videos in full (if you haven't done so already before):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5BJVO3PDeQ (notice the upload date...the game improved drastically further, since then).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijnomy9iN1M (it's current latest state, if you don't count this fresh video from the developers, which was released just a couple days ago - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zu-OxnMETY0). The game is very healthy right now.
P.S.
Don't mistake Homeplanet with "Homeworld" series. This is a very common mistake many people make. Homeplanet is a hardcore real Newtonian physics-based space sim, while games from the Homeworld franchise are all 3D (as in plane) real-time strategies.

Alright, you convinced me to look into it. But, he did lie in this video in an interview where he said "ye..." and kind of made a "no" notion to a question whether it's going to have multiplayer or not. This issue may be fixed now but it doesn't change the fact that he chose to not say the truth at that time. Also, at least I gotta give them credit for not including any money grab scheme (paid dlcs) in it. There's currently a sale with 60% off in my region until next sunday. Might check it out next weekend then.

Btw, just wanting to make sure you get this comment formatting right when adding screenshots.
You add a separate line like this:
![]()
Type in the square brackets whatever text you want, which will appear when hovering over the picture with your mouse.
In the round brackets, add the URL to the direct image source on imgur, which looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/... .png
For more information, check the part about formatting in the help section.

Bruh...I ain't even gonna. I'll let others to "guess" this very obvious 0/10 bait. Just a warning: if you're trying to "find" it by reverse image-searching, because you actually never played it even once by this point...you'd better leave the gaming scene altogether.

Thank you, that second screenshot confirmed to me that this game was some kind of Dungeon Crawler either like the Eye of the Beholder series or the early Heroes of Might and Magic games. Finding out the rest was easy :D

What is a boogaloo?
The Electric Boogaloo is a dance style that became meme-ified to denote crazy sequels, as popularized by the 1984 film Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. While we are not break dance battling here, it is kind of like a screenshot battle and hence, the "screenshot boogaloo".
