Of course I would. After feeding my family I can find money to pay for it. But if I don't, we will just die and it will be bad for the both sides :((

I'd steal bread, but bread alone does not a meal make. Therefore, I'd also steal jam. But jam and bread aren't all that great, and won't give me my full nutritional requirements. So I'd steal some apples too. Then I'd need to steal a wheelbarrow to carry all my stolen food.

By the end of the day, I'd have to steal the King's jewels to pay off the guards who caught me when I stole the Queen's crown to bribe the merchant's guild to not cut off my hands for stealing an entire store.

I wouldn't simply steal it, I would make the baker give it for "protection". I would be judgemental of others doing it of course, they would be just extra competition and ruining my "protection" scheme. In those type of situations, there are no universal laws, other then survival.

Of course I would steal the loaf! And the bananas...
