If I remember correctly last year Death Stranding was one of the christmas gifts in the EGS and about 2 month later it was one of the Humble Choice games.
Lets hope thats the case this year too.

yes me too. Saint Row Gold Edition could be in che choice soon anyway. they did it with other games in the past Just Cause 4 and Remnant for example. they gave away the base game on Epic and the full game with humlble choice

Think of all the things you liked about Saints Row and all the iconic things from Saints Row.
They removed that.
Added a lot of what I think others would call cringe quirky internet humor, it was rushed out half baked like most modern games with glitches, there was also some internal and corporate drama that caused the game to end up the away it did.
It also killed a 30 year old dev company a lot of people liked.
So there's a lot to be upset about with the game that from story, game play, presentation, and then the whole internal turmoil that was leaked by former employees later it was doomed to fail.
Supposedly, before the company went belly up they tried to "fix" the game, removing bad writing/corny lines, address poor AI and glitches, and released some DLC.
But the damage was done.

thing is most of the iconic stuff of saints row came from the 2nd game onwards, this was a reboot of the 1st game, back when they just tried to be a GTA clone

SR2 and story that came from it are what most SR players remember.
So them trying to go back to the first one seems silly. And to do away with all the things that came with SR's growth as a franchise seems unwise in my opinion.
But the rumor/leaks from former employees trying not to be lumped in with the ones who did make this what is goes:
In the very very early development (I think one source says 2017) there was schism between where the game was going to head.
And that last for most of it's development. Many of the staff including vets bounced because the game was going a different route or stagnating at points of development and they didn't feel like they had a say in the matter.
I still take it with a grain of salt but stuff like this is so common.

At this point my only excuse for buying games to steam is that i have my biggest collection there...That they forced me to open it 2 decades ago with HL2 collectors edition(and yes it had the dvd inside...)
From that time i don't remember to ever gave me something for free,instead it is overpriced:P

Ghostrunner is nice, but it's a pity it has achievements. They distract people from actually playing the game, into focusing on arbitrary points and numbers going up in an external system. to the point that they complain about achievements while not even playing games

On a serious note tho, I have noticed sometimes that when playing a game without achievements I can be a little bit more relaxed, in some cases. Like for example some puzzle/adventure/hidden objects games give you an achievement for never using any hint whatsoever, making the whole implementation of a hint system counterintuitive to some extent, and because it's an "easy achievement" (in my mind, regardless of how difficult it might be in reality) I'll force myself to never even touch the hints even if I'm completely stuck and not having a good time anymore. I also remember this one time I was playing an older Tomb Raider game and thinking to myself "thanks god there's no achievements, I don't have to obsessively look for every single secret", that was probably the first time I realized achievements could subconsciously stress me out.
What I find particularly odd is that I'm not much of a completion junkie, like at all, yet I still get tempted to accumulate achievements for the sake of that dopamine rush.

Funny how he kept saying he is a "completionist" but if you check his steam achievement stat on achievementstats.com, he only has 1.5 % completion rate out of all games he played (356 achievements only from 5.7k games he owned, which is extremely low).

To me, the best tactic is to outright ignore all spam comments. The more people engage in these conversations, the more incentive the spammer has to continue to act in this way. At least, thatโs how I look at things. Imagine for a moment spam comments receiving little to no engagement. This may not altogether discourage the user, but it can greatly diminish their efforts.

Obviously, I canโt tell others what to do. If they see this as the better option and decide to adopt it, all the better. Trolls be trolling. You can either ignore them or cut their access by banning them. I personally donโt see the logic in confronting or responding to them.
