How often do people try to scam you on steam?

Had one try just now

Every time I accept requests from Level 0 private profiles.

One russian guy posted a dubious image link on my profile as his offer for my inventories. I loled a little, because all my steam gifts are region locked and proceed with deleting the link.

I had 4 or 5 Paypal scammers today.

once a week, but sometimes it's more !

I don't even let them attempt to scam me.. I cut them off early if they have private profiles or bad reps..

I usually just get friend request from fake accounts. Sometimes I'll get a comment posted to my profile asking me to click a link (which I promptly delete).

So many attempts, so many failures.

I get about two invites per day, viral links every day or so.

My current highscore, 27 in one day.

You know, I've been doing GAs and Trades for a while now and was actually doing well regarding this, maybe 3 attempts over the last 9 - 12 months......Until today. Over the last 5 hours, and I shit you not, I've had 14 level-0 accounts trying to add me

From what I understand any private account will show up as lvl 0. Someone on my friend list has set their profile to private and shows up as lvl 0 but when I look them up on steamrep they're like lvl 20 something.

Everytime I play CS:GO or post something on group discussions...

I mostly get a message: "hey my friend is want to trading with you but cant not add you becouse steam lagg"

They should at least try spelling it properly. :/

Almost never, a guy tried to but I was aware of the "scammer behaviour". He was an impersonator, I just used steamtrades to see the REAL profile of the trader and he hadn't the same level so... Not really a good scammer.

2 or 3 guys also asked me to give them some games...

whever I bump my trades on tf2op, I get 2 or 3 friend invites from level 0 accounts - which get immediately declined, so it's not really a scam attempt .. or is it? :P

Lately I've gotten a few friend requests from private profile level 0 accounts, but every time I accept the friend request they're never online, so I just delete them & move on.

I left most of the groups on steam that I don't visit anymore and that helped a lot.Haven't got any scammers for 3 days now! Unbelievable!
