What is your favorite genre of anime?
I don't know if anyone else recommended this, but I could not find Spirited Away or My Neighbor Totoro or any of the other Studio Ghibli movies on your list.
If you have not watched those movies, then I would suggest that you do. If you have already watched these movies or someone already mentioned them, then I am sorry and hope that you enjoyed or will enjoy the movies. :)

any gundam series that created by tomino, it has a interesting story and character that you can't predict. but you have to think when watching it because for example in the newest series(Reconguista in G), they didn't mention any new technology word meaning.

I would recommend you Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (or "Parasyte -the maxim") which doesn't seem to be on your list. It's based on the manga, but updated to fit with the times as the manga is pretty old. It's still running in the first season at the moment though, but i'm looking forward to every episode again each weak :)
and to answer your poll, HORROR would be my favorite genre.
EDIT: i'm surprised, didn't find TOKYO GHOUL on your list neither P: would definately recommend the first season (second just started airing too, it deviates from the manga so can't comment on it yet)

maybe you should put them in the "want to watch" sections of your list then ;) it would prevent people from posting them twice ( or more).
any other i have are still airing, so i gues you'd wait for them to finish too.
Absolute Duo
Shinmai Maou no Testament
Imawa no Kuni no Alice
the first 2 fall into the ecchi catagorie though, while Imawa no kuno no alice still falls into horror. but like said, these are still airing so you might want to wait for these too. I have enjoyed the episodes that were aired so far though :)

They all look pretty decent. I'll have to watch them.
As for my "plan to watch" section, I've actually been meaning to entirely clear it. I'm just going to be watching stuff now by starting at the top of this thread and going down from there. Much easier overall :p

from everything in this thread, i still think that is a very short time to do it in :P i mostly watch 1 - 2 episodes a day though, but sometimes i'm also not sure which to watch. it helps then when a new episode gets released for a current series :)

i was going to recommend Hunter x Hunter, but you have it on the list, still not sure if you watched just the 1999 version or also the new one. If you haven't watched Hunter x Hunter 2011, its amazing it became my fav anime, i love the character development later on it has, so far best character development i have seen in any anime i have watched, and it's very tense at some points, first few episodes it's not that great, but later, it keeps getting better and better. The ending wasn't so great but i don't think its the final ending simply because it showed so much more it could be at the opening credits of the first episodes and also in the end, i think its just Gon on another hiatus for a few years, since its known for it.

I've already watched some of these, and I've discussed some of these in the thread. I'll just touch on the ones that haven't been mentioned.
Kenzen Robo Daimidaler looks absolutely terrible. I may have to look into it eventually, since it looks like a "its so bad its good" series.
Rose of versailles looks like a great series, and it had really high reviews. I will watch it.
Wandering Son looks interesting, an anime about cross dressing and transsexuals? Sounds good.
House of five Leaves looks good, Manglobe has a very distinct style that I enjoy. I will watch it.
Princess Tutu gets great reviews, and it's a story in a story. I may have to give it a look through.
Master Keaton seems a little weaker than your other suggestions. I'll probably get to it, but not immediately.
Ghost Hound seems like it's focusing on creepy horror rather than gore. I can get behind that.
Colorful seems really weird, but also reminiscent of Haibane Renmai. I might have to try it out.
Tokyo Godfathers is one I am definitely watching, but probably around Christmastime.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

I've already watched a bunch of these, and others have been mentioned in the thread. I'll talk about the ones not previously mentioned/watched.
Mayo Chiki! reminds me of MariaHolic, but maybe with less talking. I will check it out.
Nazo no Kanojo X has a really weird premise, an anime about drool. I'll look into it.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun seems like ye average rom-com. Still one to consider.
Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka seems like an entirely tsundere series. Do they ever get to the dere part of it, or is it mainly tsun?
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions!

First anime: Usagi Drop - link: http://myanimelist.net/anime/10162/Usagi_Drop
I strongly recommend you to watch Usagi Drop. It's a slice of life genre but I promise you will love it. If you want to immense into living a life of a single guy trying to raise his aunt (YES, you heard it right, his AUNT, daughter of his grandfather with a young woman)
Second anime: Haikyuu!! - link: http://myanimelist.net/anime/20583/Haikyuu!!
Its about voleyball sport and before you say that you dont like watching anime sport when you can go watch real sport. I urge you to trust me on this one. Be warn!! You will board the feel train so hard that you will find yourself sobbing after watching it.
Third anime: Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - link: http://myanimelist.net/anime/21405/Bokura_wa_Minna_Kawaisou
This one is just for chilling. You will laugh A LOT and plus the art is nice and the main character is not a total pathetic or pervert. There will be a lot of ecchi but just the right amount leaving you wanting more
Let me know if you like these recommendation and I will give you more.

So I have been watching a lot of anime, and I have started to hit a brick wall. I don't really know what to watch, and I've already been through many of the top-ranked lists. So I thought that I would come to the wonderful people of SG for some help! Feel free to recommend some things, and a quick explanation of why people should watch it would be great!
I have a MAL list of all the things I have watched and what I rated them. Although it would be lovely to rewatch things I have already seen, it would be better to find new and exciting things to view.
Also I'm sure you all came in for the giveaways rather than out of the kindness of your heart. People who mention a show that I haven't watched and explain why I should watch it will be added to my whitelist. These lucky people will be allowed to join a bunch of bundle giveaways, and then will be promptly dropped from my whitelist after the giveaways finish. I might also be putting up an anime puzzle in here when I have the time, so even those who haven't watched anime but love to use their google-fu can enjoy.
Anyways, thank you for your assistance! Lets all enjoy anime together!
TLDR: Give me recommendations not on this list and explain why, I give you games and love.
EDIT: Wow, that was a large response. I'll try to get through everyone and respond to all of your posts, and then I'll whitelist everyone and create some giveaways. Check back in probably 5ish hours and I should have everything ready by then. Thanks for all of the support and recommendations!
EDIT2: After responding to four and a bit pages of recommendations, I need a break. I'll be back in an hour or so, hang tight. Giveaways should still be up when I said they would be, never fear.
EDIT3: Back for more commenting. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this thread.
EDIT4: Finally made it to the bottom! I'll add everyone to my whitelist now and then post up the giveaways.
EDIT5: Whitelist giveaways are now up. They are all cheap bundle games, but I hope people still are interested.
Giveaway 1
Giveaway 2
Giveaway 3
Giveaway 4
Giveaway 5
EDIT6: Giveaways are over, and I'll be closing this thread. Thank you everyone for the suggestions!
