I would love jet set radio future, especially since it costs so much to buy on xbox

I thought it would hold up better then the original. It's just any time I've looked to buy it, the cheapest I can get it is €30, and that's a bit much really

I originally got it with the console, came on the same disc as Sega gt I think. But my older brother took the console when he moved out a few years later.
Had heard of gunvakyrie but like a lot of strange games from Japan, it was very rare in Ireland

If that could happen it'd be great. Heard before that a game called Hover revolt of gamers or something like that is a similar type of game but never been able to try it

I remember Albion, although it wasn't my kind of game.

Glad someone remembers it :)
And yeah, it was the kind of game you had to be in to in order to really get through it.
But I very much enjoyed the story which was pretty good and the idea of using multiple points of view during the game, switching from isometric 2d (which I still love) to 3d depending on the location. Felt pretty unique at the time. Haven't seen much of that since.

Oh yes, a hundred times yes for Shadow Man.
And From Software should remake it.

Pong. Graphics have evolved, it's time to get this game right.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate (aaand now I think of installing it again and trying to tweak it to run...)! Maybe add couple new campaigns to sweeten the game even further :) There will never be too many good Warhammer games available ^^ Especially with awesome soundtracks.

Hard one....
I would like to see most of the Ultima series being remade, in particular 4 and onwards. Make them less grindy, improve the combat of 7, update the graphics, and keep the things that made them special (and keep the dark elements from Ultima 5, those really did make the game feel like something completely different from what you would expect). Also, do something about all that cut content in Ultima 8 & 9.
Populous 1 & 2 could use a proper update just to clean up the interface a bit.
Outpost 2 would also be nice with a better interface and some less obtuse elements.
Dune for its interesting strategy/adventure hybrid gameplay.
Mechwarrior series. 4 still runs well enough on modern computers (at least last time I tried), but I'm unable to get 3 running, and 2, while actually still really good, could use some better graphics.
Wing Commander series. While still playable (and enjoyable) they do have some issues that could be fixed with a modern remake.

Mechwarrior 2 ! With Force Feedback !
I remember the feel of launching missiles and plasma cannons in melee combat. Awesome!
It was such an amazing game and the campaign was so good.
Aaargh ! Now I have to install a Win98 machine and it's your fault!

I didn't even know that DOS was still a thing.
Should I run a Virtual box with DOS on it ?

Just use Dosbox. It's a DOS emulator, and DOS games tend to run better in it than they ever did back when DOS was still being used. Most DOS games on Steam & GOG uses Dosbox.
And here's how to set up Dosbox to run MW2 smoothly. Don't worry, it's far far easier than it looks.

Thanks ! Now I have to check if all my hardware and my drivers run on it.
Cheers!

They will. Dosbox emulates old hardware (though sadly not Roland), so you don't need to worry about what runs on it. All you really need is a processor that's powerful enough, and if you're not using an ancient machine (I could run MW2 on my old single core P4 3,2 ghz HT processor).

I was talking to my brother tonight and we were reminiscing about the great games Epic Megagames produced back when we were kids, especially One Must Fall: 2097. It's a fighting game that you play as the pilot of a many-story-tall robot. There were multiple pilots with different strengths, a verity of very distinct robots, arena hazards, and it all ran smoothly on our 486. What's not to love?
That got me thinking, how has that not been remade? With 'Pacific Rim' surely this is an idea whose time has come again. Or at least, I wish it was. (Apparently it was remade once already in the early 2000s, but that version wasn't any good.)
What are some other games that people would really like to see remade or updated? Lots of things just keep getting sequels even though they lack merit. What are some things that went away and shouldn't have?
