0 days. Due to two things: 1) I joined the site when it was still private and invites were hard to come by (christ it's weird to think back to those days), and the rules were much more lax because of the smaller community, and 2) I was a wee bit suspicious of the validity of the site, so I read all the FAQs/rules to make sure it was on the up-and-up. Still took until my first win to truly convince me though. I still remember when 300 people in a public giveaway was a crazy high number, and <100 was common. No CV back then either. It was a simpler time.

About... two days?
Rules I broke:
The leak was kind of an accident, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to share links of private giveaways... Heck, I didn't even know what WAS a private giveaway.
As for the spamming... Entirely my own fault. I just got a kick and got a warn, but it still counts as a rule broken.
Now, I try to be careful to follow the rules and everything... But a while ago, I was... An idiot.

This one is easy
• Winning multiple copies of one game
I have no way to mark it or add to a list library here that I all ready own it like at gameminer dose which allow me filter them out under IE.
So you see it Steamgifts and Steam is own fault that Sync Game Library doesn't always work right just like some game I do own but they are not on Steam own Web Library.
It should be noted that must people don't update Sync Game Library they just wait for auto update which is ever 7 days

It's not their fault because they warn you on the site that in the end it's your responsibility not to break the rules, or fix it if you do :p

That not how I see it as it is there fault because they are NO OPTION to solve the problem as we recall ever game we own I said on gameminer web site we can filter game out by add them to are profile giveaway filter list unlike here you have to use Steamgifts Plus or Steamgifts Plus Alternative which only work Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera which I don't care for those browser any way.

I read the rules immediately, dude, and searched all around the site about a lot of stuff, since I contributed right away and didn't want to screw up. Also, that's just proper respect to the people providing the service to you :p

I did skim through the FAQ when I joined, even if you don't want this kind of answer it is what happened, and if you want the truth that is it.
Although, skimming through it isn't the same as reading it, and I only really got the most general rules. I knew that regifting was bad from the start and that I should add the game to my account asap... Necroing and winning multiple copies I didn't know from the faq but it was simple common sense that stopped me from doing that...
Not sure how much time since that day passed until I really read the FAQ, but I know it was when I saw my first puzzle thread in the "New from the forums" section of the website, it forced me to look for the puzzles guide, and in that search hype I learned a lot more about SG. If I was to guess how long it took me to do this since I registered I'd say... something like a week or so. (Thank god it didn't take months, cause on that same day I found out about SG+ I didn't care much about the site before that xD)
I know I'm one of the newer members, but I believe I'm well aware of most if not all of the site rules, and if I'm ever unsure of something I always search or ask before I do it.
Edit: I forgot to say what rules I broke, but I don't think I ever broke a rule, not that I can recall... I didn't comment on a lot of giveaways when I first started, but that's not really rule breaking, more like a slight lack of etiquette.

I actually read the rules shortly after I signed up. I say shortly after because I was "forced" to register for the Fairy Solitaire mass giveaway. A couple of days after that I actually came on the site for real, read the rules, and began participating. The most difficult has been to follow the changes in the CV rules. I still thought it was 30$, but a recent check-up made me discover it might be 25$ of bundle games instead of 30$ (though I did get the 20% value of non-bundle after that cap).
The funny thing is how you still see copies of games that were marked as abused long ago. You frequently see a rogue copy of Bulletstorm and the such on here.

"I still expect to see people go "Well I read the FAQ as soon as I joined because I'm a competent blah blah blah", but I wanna see the truth."
Well, that is the truth, because I don't like making a complete arse of myself when I join a new site.

Seeing a large surge of people going "Omg only $30 CV WAI ;____:", it reminded me of when I was stupid like that, too. I wanted to see how many of the forum-goers HONESTLY didn't know all of the rules and/or broke some. I still expect to see people go "Well I read the FAQ as soon as I joined because I'm a competent blah blah blah", but I wanna see the truth. As for me: I didn't know about the FAQ until having the used the site for about 2-3 months. Here's every rule that I broke:
And of course, I got suspended for a whopping 2 weeks, and basically vowed to never come back. That didn't work out xD. I was also tempted to make a thread about my CV not working right. I had about $55 CV, and after having given away a second copy of The Ship, I had noticed that my CV hadn't gone up. I was going to ask in a thread, having noted I had seen people's CV break at $30 all the time, but then decided to just ask someone in the group I was in at the time. At least I had given away non-bundle games too, eh?
Now it's your turn. Tell us your story
