My GAs:
I'm not a leech, even if I participate in public and make privates.
Why?
Because people who make public GAs want to spread it.
I want to make big chances GAs, where people can feel that gambling emotion right away! :D

so many ppl asking for the whitelist,so if they are not leechers i think part of them are beggars XD, anyway i dont need ur whitelist, i just liked the title, and also the dicussion, these days i won too much I feel really a leecher

Interesting! Your thought on what a leech is is exactly mine as well.
I do have 1 current Invite only giveaway, which is for a puzzle. But besides that, all my giveaways will not be focused on a Steam group or a Invite only (unless it is a puzzle giveaway). I do have a giveaway that didn't work properly, which is why I have 1 Not Received and 1 not marked. But then again, it was my first time. Hope you have fun with your giveaways.

I'm not sure whether or not you'd consider me a leech. I giveaway more games than I win, but less expensive games than I win.
Also, I only create private giveaways for the forum.
I'll leave the rest up to you I guess. :P

And what about giveaways for open or semi-open groups? :D

Semi-open - you can join if you are russian/blonde/have X game on steam - that kind of thing.
Im asking not that Im desperate to get to whitelist, but because 90% (probably) of my giveaways are for such groups - as a manner of promoting steam group or website.

According to your definition, I probably fall in the leech category then.

I haven't made any whitelist only giveaways yet but I'll be sure to return the favor & add you to my whitelist for when I do.

Only thing in your list I haven't done so far is have lengthy giveways because I like to send the keys as soon as possible! Something to consider changing in the future I guess...

I wouldn't call it that but hey your list your rules! One advantage of sort GAs though is that they give higher chances for those that do enter (less entries and all that). At least for the open-to-all ones I've done so far.
That's my take on it anyway, don't know how the rest of the community feels about it... Been on this site for over a year and I've just started reading the forums! :P

Actually I hadn't noticed lol! Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with that quote, I just haven't really given it much thought until now and wanted to share my reasoning! I think I might start doing a mix of both short-ish and long GAs from now on.

I've been called a leech before, but I don't think I am. Feel free to evaluate me along you own arbitrary criteria. Whitelist me if you want, and I'll return the favor. I don't mind if you don't, though.

I already have 255 people on my whitelist and I hope to add many more...
You know you're not a leech and want to be whitelisted?
Just ask and I'll see what we can do about it. ;)
Whenever I join a GA I look at the creators stats and if they seem good, I add them to my whitelist.
An are you already on the list? Test
Current whitelist count 709

What is a leech?
To ME it's someone who..
• Makes (zero / only one) giveaway and then leeches without ever giving back.
• For the most only creates "invite only / private GAs" and yet still partakes in public GAs
(i.e they can win from all but no one (from public) can win from them.)
• Creates GAs out of the free games from sites like Indiegala / Facebook etc..
• Has been on the site since day one (3 years?) and only managed to create a one, if not zero GAs
but have won 100 times and have a Steam library of 500+ games.. You know the type, right?
What I look at when deciding to whitelist:
• "% Invite" (% of Invite Only)
• "% Private" (i.e. Small Closed Groups)
• "% Created / Won" (i.e. Win Ratio in %)
• "% Region" (i.e. % of Region Restrictions)
• "Time since last GA was created"
Something I wish I could see:
• Length of time on completed giveaways (one world does not equal one time zone, please keep this in mind when creating giveaways.)
• When "Invite only" are for forum trains and thus open for all.
Whitelist 101
I reserve the right to boot you from the whitelist if:
• Your GA create to win ratio goes into the negative.
• Your "Invite Only / Private Group / Region Restricted" GAs exceeds 33% of your total GAs.
• Its been 30 days since your last GA but only a day since your last win, which now places you in the negative.
The former is only for approximate guidance, the last is an instant boot reason.
• You create "fake" region restricted GAs.
• You create GAs from free keys. (IndieGala etc.)
