So let me tell you my reasoning around "Group or Invite Only" GA's... I was encouraged to sign-up for SG for months since I was hosting a ton of giveaways on another site.
When I finally joined SG, I was excited to have another outlet for my gifting addiction, so I immediately did two public GA's - (I think no CV required). The first winner I had to chase for days to accept my friend request - meh, finally accepted, transferred gift and marked as received.
The second winner said the key was "already used" (at that point I'd gifted 200-300 gifts on another site and not a single code was "already used". But hey, it could happen and I wanted to make good. But by the time I got the winners email and was in process of responding, he had already reported me to SG. Then, in chat, he relentlessly pressured me to buy him the game at full price. I balked, went to my other site and asked, "How do I handle this and does anyone have a copy of this bundle game to trade?" Bottom line: I found another copy, gifted him AND responded to SG as to what happened. He was suspended - not me. I NEVER did another "public" GA ever again.
Listen, I want to gift games to human beings that will enjoy them and that have a small modicum of manners - not cretins that will make me wish I'd never created the GA in the first place. If that makes me a "leecher", then so be it. For me, this is more about making some new friends from ALL over the globe - they tell me interesting things about where they live, what they do for work, their love life and send me links to game sales and interesting news.
So yeah, I'll mostly likely continue to create GA's for "groups or invite only", once I get on a gifting jag again - lately I just gift to people's wishlist 1:1 rather than do GA's. CV, rep or other "measures of e-peen" really don't matter to me. Making someone happy that is also somewhat or a lot appreciative of the gift, does.
TLDR: Please don't whitelist me since I only do "group or invite only" GA's and don't meet your criteria.

You went on MY whitelist for this comment. There's no need to return the favour btw. I read threads like this as "I want to be on as many whitelists as possible, so I'm doing a bunch of crappy GAs, drop the clickbait whitelist in the header and demand a whitelisting back".
Nothing personal OP, but I'm not applying for your whitelist either.

I'm an Archlich, and my soul is carved in a dark diamond.
Didn't create many giveaways, but surely lifted away curses from the GA creators that made offerings for me.
Anyway, just trying to having fun along the whitelist thing and leech definition, hope you don't mind. Maybe someone as silly as me will bear with it.
Out of curiosity, do you enter any giveaways, only for games you want, mostly AAA titles? How's your algorithm for that? I remember the first GA I won was after the 1000 entries.

Looks like you already are on my whitelist. I already have every game you gave away as whitelisted giveaway. I'm looking to fill my whitelist too so I can give people that gave more than received. But you should change the definition of "leech" :D because by that definition if you gonna be doing only whitelisted (it is basically invite only or closed group, breaking rule 1 and 3), you'll become the "leech" :D

Hmm.. first of all, there are no rules just the opinions / thoughts of a crazy person.
• To ME it's someone who shares most of their giveaways with "invite only or in small closed groups."
No invites here and I have so far whitelisted 524.
• Someone who for the most only creates "invite only / private GA's" and yet still partakes in public GA's.
(i.e they can win from all but no one (from public) can win from them.)
I guess this one is debatable.. but everyone is free to ask to be whitelisted..
You know you're not a leech and want to be whitelisted?
Just ask and I'll see what we can do about it. ;)
All in all I think I got it covered pretty good, no? ;)

yeah but leeching is bascially taking and not giving back, people that go "invite only" or "small closed group" are just tired of seeing that their giveaways win mostly people that don't give anything back or worse, to re-gifters or even trading it for different games, some of them marking at as non-received and making creator upset. I'm gonna start my whitelisted giveaways after I have at least 200 people on it so at least someone will enter. I'm almost halfway there.

I already have 255 people on my whitelist and I hope to add many more...
You know you're not a leech and want to be whitelisted?
Just ask and I'll see what we can do about it. ;)
Whenever I join a GA I look at the creators stats and if they seem good, I add them to my whitelist.
An are you already on the list? Test
Current whitelist count 709
2 Blacklisted
What is a leech?
To ME it's someone who..
• Makes (zero / only one) giveaway and then leeches without ever giving back.
• For the most only creates "invite only / private GAs" and yet still partakes in public GAs
(i.e they can win from all but no one (from public) can win from them.)
• Creates GAs out of the free games from sites like Indiegala / Facebook etc..
• Has been on the site since day one (3 years?) and only managed to create a one, if not zero GAs
but have won 100 times and have a Steam library of 500+ games.. You know the type, right?
What I look at when deciding to whitelist:
• "% Invite" (% of Invite Only)
• "% Private" (i.e. Small Closed Groups)
• "% Created / Won" (i.e. Win Ratio in %)
• "% Region" (i.e. % of Region Restrictions)
• "Time since last GA was created"
Something I wish I could see:
• Length of time on completed giveaways (one world does not equal one time zone, please keep this in mind when creating giveaways.)
• When "Invite only" are for forum trains and thus open for all.
Whitelist 101
I reserve the right to boot you from the whitelist if:
• Your GA create to win ratio goes into the negative.
• Your "Invite Only / Private Group / Region Restricted" GAs exceeds 33% of your total GAs.
• Its been 30 days since your last GA but only a day since your last win, which now places you in the negative.
The former is only for approximate guidance, the last is an instant boot reason.
• You create "fake" region restricted GAs.
• You create GAs from free keys. (IndieGala etc.)

Some useless info: Entered 1195 GAs before winning for the first time.
