Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) need access to a location near Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to clarify the reason for a significant discrepancy between different measurements of the height of the reservoir that is supplying water to cool the facility’s six reactors and spent fuel storage, Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said today.
By 9am local time today, the water level by the ZTPP was estimated at 11.27 metres, down from nearly 17 metres before the dam was breached, according to data received by the IAEA experts at the ZNPP site.
However, the height is reportedly continuing to fall elsewhere in the huge reservoir, causing a possible difference of about two metres compared with the level reported by the ZTPP. The height of the water level is a key parameter for the continued operability of the water pumps.

  Rykovo is located on the railroad between Crimea and Melitopil and is therefore an important logistical hub for Russians.

Russian forces have mined the cooling system of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. This was announced by Chief of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov, during the national telethon, Liga reports.

Putin Is Now Very Worried About Crimea

Russia is funneling "significant" resources into protecting its control of the annexed Crimean peninsula as Ukraine's counteroffensive makes further gains, according to the U.K. government.
Russia is putting "significant effort" into building defensive lines in rear areas in southern Ukraine, the British Defense Ministry said on Wednesday. Moscow is focusing on areas on the way to the Crimean peninsula, the U.K. government added.
Moscow's military command likely believes Kyiv's fighters are "capable of directly assaulting Crimea," the government department said in a daily intelligence update posted to social media.

The big counter-offensive will come after the shaping operations bear fruit
[Map on Twitter] - think it is no secret any more that one of the primary objectives of the Ukrainian counteroffensive has been the strategic decimation of Russian supply bases and vital intersections. You just have to look at the map. All major targets are along the primary supply lines and many of them are only dust now.
The Russian-occupied parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblast are getting methodically isolated and degraded, similar to how Kherson has been engaged and eventually liberated. The difference, however, is the magnitude which is several times bigger than back in November 2022.
This is exactly how you would pummel an enemy on a strategic scale before sending in the heavy cavalry.
