I sure don't mind, that's where the most original ideas come from :)
Thanks!

John Carpenter's The Thing. And If you haven't seen them already, you should also check some of his other movies from the 80's, like Prince of Darkness and They Live.
And I also haven't seen anybody mention Tremors in this thread.
Edit: I've just seen that you wrote that you were a Carpenter fan so nevermind the first 3 suggestions. :)

Awesome suggestion, thanks! If I survived watching Pumaman, I can certainly survive Birdemic (and possibly Birdemic 2).

Ah, Korean horror, I like that. Added to my watchlist, thanks!

Not necessarily a Scary movie, but I enjoyed Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil. It is comedy horror. As long as gore is not a problem for you it is very entertaining.

Thanks. I like horror comedies, my favourites are Army of Darkness and Shaun of the Dead.

That's one of my favourite trilogies of all times! :)

Thanks, I will definitely check them out.
How could I not trust someone with a Foxy name and a zombie version of themselves as their profile picture?

I haven't seen that, but my girlfriend did, and she said it was ok... Which means it was really good because she rarely likes any film at all.

I can say only one thing -
The Blob.
Just... Just watch it.

Thanks. I have watched the 1988 remake when I was a kid, which scared the hell out of me back then.
My dad said he watched the 1958 version, and that scared the hell out of him too :D
If I can get the original, I'll watch it.

Shaun of the Dead is one of my favourite horror comedies ever :D
I've watched Zombieland, which was funny but not as funny and as good as I was hoping.
I'll look for the others, in the meanwhile, since you also like this genre and haven't seen them yet, watch the whole Sam Raimi's Evil Dead trilogy. Army of Darkness is just hilarious!

My favorite one: Triangle http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1187064/
And the second: 1408 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450385 (just not the theatrical version, it has a milder ending that ruins the film imho)

I've watch Triangle a few months ago; fascinating concept, even though a few things are not very consistent like in pretty much any story involving time travel.
I didn't know there was an alternate ending to 1408. Maybe I will watch it again.

Thanks. I've seen the title somewhere, but for some reason I decided to skip it that time. I'll watch if I find it again.

Not supernatural way of scary, but somewhat human psychology kind of scary: I Saw the Devil

Thanks, although for some reason I am not a fan of Dario Argento. Maybe it's because I can't stand The Goblins and their synth music? :)
I'd grab that if I saw it at CEX for 25p though :D

Ahh it's one of these shops.
Basically, you can buy second hand dvds/blue-rays/games or sell yours in the same shop.

The Orphanage - produced by Guillermo del Toro has a really great atmosphere and conclusion while going away from the "normal" splatter or jumpscare horror movies

87% at RottenTomatoes is pretty good for a horror movie ;)

Ah, yeah I remember watching that. Now, I can't remember if I watched it in English or Spanish umm... maybe I'll watch it again just in case :D

As per title, I am looking for a horror film to watch, not necessarily recent, but scary.
Gore is ok, but I'm not a fan of jump scares - those get boring quickly. I am more into unsettling plots and dark or unusual settings.
To give you an idea of what I like, I am a big fan of John Carpenter (The Thing, Price of Darkness, The Fog, Christine...).
So let's see, what are your favourite horror flicks?
And now, for the unrelated GA: 1DyS0 [Level 1+] (ended)
New GA: /PFSnM/
UPDATE: I've watched "Don't Blink" because it was easy to find and cheap (a few pence, second hand of course). 9 for the idea, 5 for the final result. Too many plot holes, I guess that's where people disappeared. :D
UPDATE 2: I have now watched "Jacob's Ladder", wow that was a trip. Very weird film, I think "Hellraiser: Inferno" might have been inspired by it a little, but Jacob's Ladder was deeper, more mysterious and all round much better.
UPDATE 3: Watched "Emergo" (Apartment 143) and May, because I could get them for a few pence :D The first started ok but went downhill quickly, the second is very weird but a bit boring (very well acted, though).
