not exactly an rpg, but the rise from erebus modmodmod for civ 4

A Legend of Zelda A Link to the past has to be my favorite rpg.It captured the love of the original while making itself its own thing. Still one of the best Zelda games to play today never gets boring and I always enjoy when I play it.

I would say Skyrim, Fallout 3, Witcher 2, Knights of the old Republic was pretty fun too. I got bored in Oblivion really quick as well as in New Vegas, Mass Effect was ok but i treat more like a shooter than rpg

Dragon Age Origin and Awakening, Skyrim

Breath of Fire 3 is my absolute favorite. I also liked BoF 1, 2, and 5, but 3 trumps them all for me.

Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn. Not only my favourite RPG, but my favorite all time game.

I dunno. This is a really hard question as there are tons of RPGs out there that I consider to be my "favorite" and with making a list, I'm certain I'll leave out some that I really, really like. But I'll try.

Shadow Hearts 1/2: Covenant, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Final Fantasy VI/V/XII/XIII-2, Mass Effect 2, Tales of series, Shadowrun (SNES), Star Ocean series (Minus 3), Xenogears/Xenosaga series, Rogue Galaxy, Suikoden series (I suppose II would be my favorite of them all), Lost Odyssey, Breath of Fire 2 & 4, Illusion of Gaia, Oblivion (Shivering Isles in particular), Grandia III.

Those all are at the top of my head at the moment.

Vagrant Story or Legend of Dragoon

I played the absolute shit out of Morrowind for the xbox. So I would have to say that is my favorite but Skyrim was amazing. Kingdoms Of Amalur is a good choice too.

I enjoyed The Mass Effect saga partly because it was one of the few games where I felt genuine affection for the characters. Dragon Age Origins has been a blast. I enjoyed my play through of Divine Divinity and was surprised by Divinity II the dragon knight saga. Oblivion was fun until i discovered that the main storyline didn't keep me enthralled and the side quests felt very repetitive . I also enjoyed bioshock for the visual environment though it's likely not considered an RPG. I also spent way too many hours hacking and slashing my way through diablo 1 & 2 and torchlight. In my queue, the witcher series, skyrim, Dues Ex, Fallout 3 and a few others.
