If you could make ONE change to steamgifts right now, what would it be?

promote people to give more games with high contribution value limit, like 500, 1000 or more.. there are shitload of public giveaways with more than 2-3k entries yet barely any giveaway for high contributors..

set a timer for the points regaining like 24h=300P

Have it so that when you hit the enter giveaway button it checks to see if you have points before redirecting you (if you have 0 points and remove an entry for some points to use on another game that you have open in another window you have to refresh the page or it thinks you have no points).

delete every guy registered with 2 months or more and any giveaway.

Get games reviewed as in if somebody has actually purchased a copy of a game that was in a bundle he/she can produce proof of the purchase and get contrib value for those games. This was if somebody has a legit separate (outside the bundle) key/gift of that game, he can make giveaway and enjoy contrib value for it.

A late addiction to this thread: I'd love to have the possibility to make multi-group giveaways.
At the moment the only way to do this is making it private and share it only with the groups, either in chat or in the group pages. The problem with this is that usually those places are public, so there's a high chance of extraneous people entering, bringing more work to the creator, that has to check wether the winner is actually in the group, and to the Support, that in case of problems have to reroll the winner.

Well, since we're doing thread necromancy, I'd like a more sophisticated reply notification system. One that would contain a link to the post that is being replied to, not just the topic. One that would notify me of replies to comments made on giveaways too.

And yes, multi-group giveaway would be great.

Filter out the word "thanks" so giveaway comments won't be filled with them by postcount whores.

I didn't like galagiveaway very much. but i do found it maximum entry of them quite interesting, did you ever consider use them for SG ?

Sorting giveaways by their points

Faster point system, sometimes we wait 1 hour for 10 points

Removing the ability to create contributor giveaways that require twice the contributor value the giveaway creator has. Maybe it doesn't matter much, but it seems a bit hypocritical to me. I haven't figured out a valid reason to allow it yet, but I suppose there is one.

Edit: Contrary to what a lot of people think, I actually think we gain points too quickly. If you only check the site once a day and use up your 300 points then, every time you check the site you'll have 300 points back. I think it would be better to regen points more slowly, forcing us to pick and choose what we want to enter very carefully, ensuring that more people only enter giveaways for games that have a high interest in.

Contributor value actually reflecting the price it was in the store when I gifted it, and not its actual value.
Halving your contribution because that game just had a 50% price cut, this is totally meaningless if you ask me.

Get points based on how many your giveaway gets entries... ...this would make ppl giveaway games + ppl would think twice before entering and stop spamming entries on everything (bcos of constant ****load of points)

I'd add a short note directly below the Select a Gift drop down explaining what the asterisks* mean, with a link directly to a more in depth explanation.

The thing I'd change the most is the way forum posts and comments are displayed. Like the ability to hide individual posts or entire threads. Perhaps it could be incorporated into SG+ so it doesn't bog down the site with all the hidden topics.

Make the background black so its easier to look at the screen with no ambient lighting.

DLC recognition please, i can enter darksiders 2 DLC giveaways, i don't do it but i want the site to recognize the DLCs i own

A "My posts" search, so that even if nobody has replied I could find the topics to which I'd replied and see if anything else interesting had been said.
