Don't know if that count as there wasn't any games on steam at that time to buy ^^ but Counter-Strike as was taking part of the tests...

Valve complete pack during the summer sale. I think it was about £17 for 23 games, I couldn't say no.

Mine was Left 4 Dead 2 like 2 winters ago.

unofficially . . . Half-Life 2 back in 2003-ish. Split it with my brother and he ended up keeping the account when I left for college.

My account first redemption was "Indie Games Big Bundle" in 2009... first game I played on my account was Braid

The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion maybe around 2 or 3 years ago

I can't remember my first purchase on the store but I had to create a Steam account for Call of Duty: Black Ops so that was my first game.

First got into the habit when the Humble THQ Bundle appeared-it was too great to ignore.
But it grew fast after that... :)

Well i got my first steam game from my grandpa and that Was CSS, 3 months later i bought my own game CoD:Mw2

Mine was a physical copy of CS1.6, Condition Zero, Deleted Scenes and the DvD presentation of HL2.
So it was 10 years ago.
It's nice to have atleast 1 physical game from Steam, in case you need to get back a stolen or lost account.
I still have my account thanks to that.
