The Orange Box. I seriously thought $10 for it was the gaming deal of the year. :P

First game on steam was the retail copy of Half-Life 2 back in 2004, when steam was mandatory to play it.

My first digital download purchase on steam didn't come until 2007 with the pre-order of the Orange Box.

My first one was "the amazing Half-Life full pack". Taht's how i remember it. (Just redeemed my old HL key-code, and got HL, CS, Blue Shift, and DoD. Freaking awesome.)

I first installed Steam and made an account in 2002 for the purpose of playing Counter-Strike beta. My first account, however, is long-gone. My current account was created in 2005 so that I could more easily play CS and Half-Life deathmatch. My first Steam purchase, however, was the Orange Box in 2007. It was a good enough deal that I overlooked the fact that Steam doesn't allow you actually own what you purchase. I already owned the included games, but I wanted backup copies and the networking that comes with Steam.

Portal 2 in 2012. Didn't realise there was a Portal 1 & 2 bundle until later (not to mention I didn't know about Portal being given away for free in the past)...
