Yay for random poll about other people's life stuff that doesn't regard me one bit!
Oh, and I hid a giveaway in this thread.

Did you ever cry to a movie, story, game, picture, series, or other stuff like that?

I cry all day, everyday. ;_;

The games that made me form tears are Mass Effect 3, To The Moon, and FF: Crisis Core, FFX, quite a few moments in KH has had me form tears but it's spread throughout the series, the first two Bioshock games, a certain moment in The Walking Dead S2
As I keep thinking turns out theres alot that has manged to get me to cry, to many to list if you ask me.

Not really cried, but watery eyes.

Really had to suppress it at the last Episode of Telltales Walking Dead Season 1 ofc, Intro of The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption ending.
Also the Anime "Terror in Tokyo" had some seriously sad moments (this emotional soundtrack man...)

Not sure how to vote because I don't cry over something that hasn't had a direct impact on my life (often not even then), although I do regularly get misty eyes while watching a film or a documentary, listening to particular music or while reading something that gets me emotionally involved.

I tend to conceal it, by just waiting for my eyes to dry out (trying not to attract attention to myself) or pretending that there's a loose eyelash bothering me.

So no, nothing like this:

Iron Giant is the only thing ever. The scene was just so beautiful.

Playing To the Moon and reading the last parts of Deathly Hallows while listening to the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 score both got me close though.

I think I cried over anime:

  • Cowboy Bebop (last scene)
  • Steains;Gate (the struggle to keep mayuri alive)
  • Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (actually I cried on the manga before crying on the anime, Nina and Alexander)
  • Hunter X Hunter (somewhere, don't remember exactly when)
  • Fate/Zero (somewhere, again, don't remember exactly when)
  • Ping Pong the Animation (last scene)
  • Slam Dunk (actually I cried on the manga before crying on the anime, don't remember where exactly)
  • Code Geass R2 (last scene)
  • Death Note (last scene, I think a tear went down on that not much though)

and on few movies (there are at least 1-2 other movies that made me cry, but I don't remember them right now):

  • Life is Beautiful (cried twice, one that I remember of course is when the child says: "Un carro-armato vero!")

On movies there's not much time to get deep inside characters psychology and so I usually find really hard to cry on those; most "tearful" scenes actually made me laugh hard.

Also I ALWAYS cry over certain music pieces (can't remember all of them):

  • Requiem, Giuseppe Verdi
  • Requiem, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  • most WW a cappella "alpini" Italian folklore songs

Finally I didn't cry for games yet, but I still have to play "to the moon".

That scene in Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood is so cute and disguisting and sad, it always hurts to see it.

Personally, I didn't even know you could hide text on SG until now, but yeah, all too many people need to learn some respect and internet etiquette.

I hate crying and try not to. I avoid things that might make me cry, like chick flicks and the Hallmark Channel (ugh). But I will admit that I cry every time I see The Lion King.

May I ask why you hate crying? It can be an unpleasant feeling (or at least, the reason for crying is unpleasant), but I think it can also, in a way, cleanse you.

Well, part of it is that I hate my eyes getting puffy and I get a headache afterwards if it's a bad cry. And if I'm honest I guess it's partly fear of what people will think of me when they see me crying. Even my family. I don't want anyone to see me crying because I feel weak.

It makes sense. I'm not ashamed over it (nobody should, seeing as it's natural), but I still do not like people, even family, to see me crying. I guess it's because you don't want to show people how vulnerable you are. I've never had a headache afterwards though, but that's individual, and makes your feelings just more logical.

I must confess that I cry watching movies, series, ads, books, comics, videogames, photos, memories...even with gifs :/
But not in public, you know... social rules.
Last time was this morning, watching a gif of a cat saving a child from a dog (it was his cat and protected his owner and friend :_) I would post the gif but a dog biting a small child is kinda disgusting)

Was that the one with the little kid riding their bike beside their parents' white SUV? The dog come around from the other side of the SUV then the cat races out the front door to intervene?

I've not cried over it but I've certainly done the Fistpump Of Victory over it...bloody evil mutt...

That being said, I am NOT a cat person by any means...I'll tolerate them if they're the pet of family members but I'm a dog lover to the core...that clip though, THAT is one champion frickin cat!

I'm absolutely a dog person, but that doesn't mean some cats aren't great pets. There have been a number of cats that I really liked. They were friendly, kind, loyal and gentle. Basically, they acted like dogs instead of cats.

Finally just finished reading every posts in this thread (way over 100). Very interesting to know what other people feel, what makes them cry, and how everyone has different emotions.

Now is probably a good time to mention a few "medias" that got me close to tears.

Games:

  • To The Moon. For obvious reason, I felt sadness. It didn't get any close to bringing tears to my eyes, however.
  • Bioshock Infinite. That one is a bit hard to fit into the list since I felt many emotions when playing it, but not necessarily sadness and it wasn't really close to making me cry. Still; It makes the list as a honorable mention.

Animes:

  • Angel Beats!. The feels in the ending unexpectedly hit me like a fucking freight truck. I think I just totally wasn't expecting it. The closest I got to crying. The characters really make you feel what they feel...
  • Little Busters! / LB!: Refrain. Pretty much the same thing as Angel Beats!, I did not expect the anime to turn to such a feels train. Although I did not get any close to tears, it unexpectedly made me feel sad. Thanks, Visual Art's/Key...
  • Steins;Gate. Everything's perfect about this anime, including the small feels trips they implemented before the end. Definitely didn't bring tears to my eyes, but I felt multiple emotions while watching it, and I think it deserves a spot on the list.

And that's it. Can't remember anything else that made me (almost) cry. I might have overlooked a few anime/games that made me feel sadness but that I forgot. Pretty much any anime by Visual Art's/Key will take you on a feels trip, but not enough to make me cry.
Now, I'll just keep attempting to trigger my eyes sprinkling system, and eventually I assume I'll find something which will do it.
