Why did you join Steam?

I bought Half-Life 2.

I bought TF2

Portal was free at that time :)

Bought MW2 disc for my birthday ^_^

my friend bought me a box version of CSS for my birthday and it activated on Steam :)

To play Counter Strke 1.6 and Source (started with friend accounts and then got this one)

Used to play half life anthology games off steam before source got out, when source got out, steam automatically blocked my retail keys for cs, hl and tfc. Two years later or so i got into steam again by buying hl anthology again, which is the main reason why i came to steam (to play team fortress classic online) while my bro did the samething but with cs anthology.

Counter Strike 1.6 was like 2$ on a Winter Sale so I joined Steam. I REGRET NOTHING!

after thousands hours in CS 1.6 nonsteam (I played it a lot of years), I wanted to have a original copy of this game.
And that was the point, when I stopped pirating games

Because I got a job and was able to buy games.

Had to play half life 2 somehow

Bought an ATI 9600XT, got a free HL2 code. Yay!

well, I joined steam to play counter strike 1.6 with my friends

To play legal counter strike 1.6 , because all enemies says that im cheater :D

then I quit, and then I came back for dota 2 :3

I was a pirate before, i was playing only multiplayer games like cod, counter strike and a lot of other, the pirate multiplayer community is almost dead so i decided to join steam because it's a legit way to get games on PC

Call of Duty Black Ops told me so!
