What was your first anime?

seen enough that i don't remember the first. remember sailor moon, naruto, dbz among my first recollections.

Most anime isn't for me, but I've watched some that I've thoroughly enjoyed. My first was probably Death Note. I really liked it, despite some of the typical anime-style things that I find annoying, especially the over dramatization of everything. It just feels silly and pretentious. But the story, narration, minimalistic (is that the right word?) soundtrack, etc, were done very well and got me hooked.

Hmm... Either Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura (...well, Cardcaptors, actually, but I know better now XD)

never cared much for anime until i found this 3 min anime on youtube called morita san wa mikuchi, theres nothing really special about it just showed me that animes are more than narutos, pokemons and dragon balls zs. since then i dove head first things that interested that i never knew even existed

I have no idea. I'm pretty sure I saw some kind of anime before I knew what what it was. Other than that I remember seeing an episode or two of the original Dragonball.

Anime...I dunno, they were called cartoons back then I think...

My first anime was probably Pokemon or Yugioh. But i didn't know what anime was back then. The first anime I watched searching for anime was Dragonball and Dragonball Z with my dad.
After that I was reintroduced by a friend of mine with the anime Highschool of the Dead

Zenki or DBZ

I seriously can't tell, because as a kid I didn't even know many of the cartoons I watched were anime, like "Maya the Honey Bee" or "Heidi, Girl of the Alps".

Probably Astroboy (80s version), Speed Racer, Mazinger Z or Kimba.

It was Saint Seiya. I remember loving the shit out of it back when I was a kid

Akira movie. if I dont remember wrong.

Edit: That is the first which I watched as Anime. But if the children shows count, where I didn't know about Anime: Probably Maya or Heidi.

My first anime was called Wedding Peach. I used to jam so hard to the ending song as a kid back then in around 1998.
I can't find a better quality since it's so old.
