A puzzle game where you are a hermit who has just come out of your cave for the first time in years, after realizing something is very wrong with the place you live in. The animals outside your cave no long signal their life. When you venture out to the neighboring town, you have no clue where everyone else is, or have gone to, and have to find clues for what happened in the town. You would be faced with cryptic messages and have to find scraps of information in an age where the written word is nearly extinct, due to the preference of digital. With your limited knowledge of technology, your task would be harder to achieve.

An RPG where a character's skills/powers/etc reward the player's creativity, rather than giving a power increase - a brand new character can match up against a 100hr one, but the older character has much more goodies to play with.

I would actually make a game that's easy enough to get started with, but hard to complete. While at it, making the character do the silliest things at times that are supposed to be funny would make the game good. It would be basically a platformer.

I would go with the idea that it is very easy to learn, but hard to master. A lot of games advertise this, but rarely follow through. I want to create a game that is at it's core very intuitive, but as the game goes on, it requires actual critical thinking as opposed to mindless playing.

I'd make a open world mmorpg based on panzer dragoon with insane graphics and a marketplace for player created mods. Yea, I know mods in a mmo won't work but I can dream ok. ):

Actually, they can work, just that companies are too lazy to make them server sided. The mods can be written as plugins though, which will work on your own side.

survival game of the ants, where their need to survive construction of block of flats in their territory and deal with. It can be multiplayer, eg. one player is a queen, other are soldiers or workers.
Everyone of them must achieve other goals, so you have 3games in 1 (countless hours to play)

This will sound like the fad of the month but its a game I have wanted for a long time. An open world Bethesda-style FPS/RPG about survival in a zombie apocalypse with the traditional moaning slow zombies and no specials at ALL. Focusing not on the shooting and killing but on survival. Planning for the future, needing drinkable water, stores of food, weapons, barricading material, crafting traps and distractions, and signaling help if or when it comes. There would be a system to determine how habitable your shelter looks on the outside and the better it looks the more likely gangs or other humans will visit in an attempt to scavenge or take your supplies or home.

Difficulties would be based on a risk/reward ratio for your chosen location to start. A farm would be an easy difficulty as lots of land to grow food and flat to easily see and clear invading zombie. Low risk/high reward easy difficulty. A moderate setting would be a city. High population meaning more gangs more zombies more danger from the environment but easier access to easily defendable positions, prefabricated food, and weapons. High risk/high reward.

Bunkering down and defending a shelter would be the expected way to play but a roaming survivor trying to locate help or salvation would be supported as well. Be a bandit! Scavenge from others! Find the army safe haven for non-infected and win! Have a follower system with generated likes and dislikes and have them help you or at some of the worst, steal some of your supplies and leave! Possibly even telling gangs where to find your stocked shelter in exchange for acceptance or their lives.

The goals of the game would be to survive a year at 20 hrs in game to 1 hr out of game. Game time passes even if you are not in the game, and accounting for in-game sleep time which would mostly pass instantly, the game would run for about 2 weeks. Random events can happen while sleeping in game, waiting in an area, or while the game is off. If one happens while the game is off time will pause and resume when you start again. For example, you shut the game off for the night and it decides a random bandit attack is coming. How long you are really gone will affect how late you start in the event. Only gone a few hours and maybe you wake in time to see them approach your shelter. Maybe 8 hours or so for sleeping (yeah right, I'd play the hell outta this),and you come back when they are breaking in. Longer periods like a day or more and they have already begun looting the shelter.

Clean up the re-killed or risk infection. Some vehicles work but roads can be clogged with the remains of the fleeing citizens. RPG elements include your trap-making skills improved by successfully setting them up as well as a huge bonus if they work. Accuracy with weapons impacted by skill, your FPS skill, and a panic level based on how close the target is to you. Panic tolerance is improved with repeated combat. A bite from an infected will kill you or doom you to be refused from the army base. Certain armors or armor like apparel will lower the chance of a bite actually infecting you. And to top it off a system that ZombiU actually used, when you die you can start again and find your old self.

Well that's my idea and I'm sure something to my liking will never be made. I'm sure I have more ideas that I have forgotten but this has rambled on long enough I think. If you invite me or not, it matters not to me. Maybe my writing this will plant a seed in someone to actually make the game. That would be a far greater reward anyways.

Not sure the constant time pass even when you are not playing would be good, because some people have schedules that would make it impossible to play effectively. On the shelter, factor in visibility as well, so if you are in a well-rebuilt shack, and you've camouflaged it somehow, bandits would be more likely to pass by, not noticing it.

Other than that, it sounds like a great game!!!

I actually had a great idea for a multiplayer first person shooter, where whenever you die in your game, you are transported into a hub world that's filled with portals to all the multiplayer modes. So whenever there is a vacant place in one of them, you can just seamlessly jump into an ongoing match in whichever game mode you want to play.

I read a creepypasta named Airlock a while back it had a pretty cool concept. I'm gonna put my own twist on the game.

The world is in a post apocalyptic state, although the entire end of the world event was rather quick and peaceful. Earths air supply had run out and within minutes most of the population was wiped out. Only the most paranoid few, those who had planned for the impossible had survived. You were one of these people who managed to get to your personal air supply just in time.

There are probably no more than 100 other survivors who were as crazy, well planned, and lucky as you. You met plenty of them online, discussing strategies for survival and writing their stories. Over time however these people begin to disappear. Some have no way to go outside, others run out of food and water, some lose power and have an unknown fate.

You have met a new friend in this community, he's located a few towns over and has traded some great tips on maintaining your air supply and power generator. One day he stops showing up online, after a few weeks you are very concern, but only have the faintest idea which direction he's in.

Stepping out you'll see the remains of the world you once knew. The lack of air has preserved more than you expected. This new world is terrifying, corpses are still preserved and litter the streets despite several months passing. The whole world feels as if it were some horror film. You feel that someone is watching you, but you relax as logic tells you "who could survive without air?".

The game itself would play as an open world survival horror. You were lucky in that you decided to stockpile an air supply before the event, but as time went on, you're now running low on food and water. You also have no way to defend yourself, but that's probably the least of your concerns. You'd have to step outside of your house and replenish your supplies quite often. The game itself would be more difficult than normal as you'd have at least 4 critical resources to monitor, Health, Air, Food, and Water. Beyond that exploration would be key as you empty out buildings, you need to move on to new ones.

As you explore the world, you may find other survivors who,may be in various states. Even if you do meet somebody, how are you going to communicate without talking? [No Air, No Sound] Would they even give you the time of day to write your response? Quite a few are just going to be wholed up in their bunkers, remember you are dealing with the worlds most paranoid people.

Because of the weird distribution of resources, if you find a small colony, they'll be willing to trade some of things they found, including some pre-apocalypse weaponry. Water, food and air being the most valuable resource, they'd could easily trade tons of weapons for a weeks worth of supplies. Of course you'd have to be careful they aren't hostile to begin with.

Vacuum = no sound. If Earth ran out of breathable air, there would still be some density in the air to carry sound, unless the atmosphere was wiped out, which would add another level of difficulty. It could be possible people wouldn't bother to talk to you to conserve their oxygen, or something similar to that.

Other than that, it sounds like a good creepy experience.

Few stupid ideas:

1) Pimp simulator: You are playing as a pimp. You begin with one girl and you must to grow a sex empire. Game should be 3D. Also there should be drugs (some girls must be on drugs). Missions with slave traffic, missions with obtaining new teritories. Also there should be opportunity to kick (beat) bad working girls. (Full version include few missions as a whore and sex scenes)

2) Cartel simulator: You begin as small drug dialer (who grows weed and sell it). You must grow a biggest cartel. Features: Fightings for territory, obtaining new drugs labs, creating new distributions, Sending drugs to other countries. Few small additional missions when you are working as a dealer, as a gang member, as a smuggler.

3)Student simulator. With drinking, parties ... Studying, and some other features to pass exams and become educated specialist.

Soon more ideas (not simulators)

Totally would have to make a game ... about making games. Seriously - if you could release Game Dev Tycoon inside Game Dev Tycoon, and have your fans develop a Game Dev Tycoon game using your ingame game ... >.> Gameception!

Edit: After reading some of the other comments ... I'll second that I'd rather not get "The D" ... Also, I already have Game Dev Tycoon, so the link would be wasted on me. Good luck to all though!

I'd love to make a pirate game that's actually good.

  1. You start off with a small, not a very powerful ship. Later you can have multiple ships as your property, and take direct control of them like an RTS game. Or you can just make AI do all the job.
  2. You'll have an open-world-rpg-like campaign mode, sandbox mode(where you say, 'f*ck the missions and stories'), and mission modes in which you'll play for a certain goal(e.g. have 3 ports under your control) The world is randomly generated(or selected from presets) every time you start a new game.
  3. Trade, exploration, battle etc. will all give you the 'influence' so you can hire better crews, better captains for AI-controlled ships, better mayors for your ports.
  4. When a port is under your control, you have to manage it. You can build various facilities, but you won't have all the space, so you might want to specialize each port. Or you can get a AI mayor and just throw him an overall guideline.
  5. Your actions will result in varying your affinity with different factions/nations, and they will treat you differently according to your affinity and your overall influence in the world. They can gift you a fleet, or storm your port with one.
  6. The game is fully modable.
  7. God I can't fully write what's in my mind in this short commetn section

A post Apocalyptic Harvest Moon where you have to tend to your farm and tend to your needs while maintaining security against roving bands and scavengers.

Take possession of a building and its land, use scraps and scavenged tools to build irrigation systems, buy / steal livestock and seeds from other survivors and traveling traders, mount expeditions to old ruins to uncover intact technologies and knowledge and finally fortify you farm and arm it and yourself.

A Open world survivor game set in a zombie apocalypse. (I know what you will say: Like we don't have enough of them)

We do have DayZ and sometime soon its Standalone and now Infestation. But those games feel like PvP and not much about surviving, fighting the undead, defending them off, being scared.

I want an MMORPG, Firt person Shooter. There would be no PvP or maybe some PvP servers, but mainly it would be based on surviving, taking over lost territories to the undead, making bases/strongholds. Scavenging for food, water, weapons, medicine, clothes and other utilities. You would gain experience by killing zombies, bandaging your allies, taking over parts of towns or locations (Stores, houses etc.)

In this game you would actually need to work together, if that is not done, you will die alone and will not get anywhere in the game. You would need to turn your gun against the walking dead, not your allied still breathing humans.

Spend points on various skill trees, to specialize in either combat, scavenging or utility.

That is a game I am waiting for. :(

If you put PvP in a game, it turns into a bloodshed where other players will kill only other players to get good loot, the survival and zombies are just a shitty background. That is exactly what has happened in dayz and infestation.

So maybe having a shit ton of zombies, would make it more interesting and much more challenging. You would have to fight very hard to survive even let us just say in a group of 5-6 people.

Maybe adding permadeath would make people more scared to die, loosing all the loot and the already spent skillpoints. Getting bit by a zombie would make you infected, you get tired much faster/loose stamina get more hungry and thirsty, without a vaccine you would die in let us say 3 real life hours.

You could go collect materials like planks, where by you could establish a safehousel ike in state of decay you mentioned, maybe refine it, make it better, so it can withstand a zombie attack.

Make the game with a day time cycle and the zombies would be more vicious at night time. You could go and kill animals which are still left in forests, get meat and skins to make maybe new clothes, not sure just brainstorming this. Make it more about I want to see another sunrise not who will stick whom first with a gun.

How about this for that concept. Every survivalist action you take gains you experience, which either levels you or is spent on skills directly. You constantly need to have at least some food and some water on you, as well as whatever general supplies. Ammunition is always at a premium, because there are few sources of it left. You randomly encounter travelers, who can trade with you, train you, or try to attack or steal your supplies from you through trickery.

In my opinion, it would be hard to have a zombie/survival MMO game without worrying who will turn on you and losing some of the survival feeling, so I think PVP should be in the game, but maybe restrict which items may be gained from these actions, or have it less lucrative. It could be that all you would get from killing another player would be some of the supplies they carried, and parts of the weapon they were using. Every time you turn on a player, successfully or not, causes you to gain a reputation as a bandit, and would show to other players in various ways, making it less worth while to attack people, because it would give people cause to attack you, maybe give benefits to people who kill others with these reputations.

I think in a MMO-Zombie-Survival game, the focus should be on the supplies and your needs. Need to keep up your supply of water, food, ammunition, medical supplies, and whatever scraps you could use for various tasks. Keep a 2by4 with you so that maybe when you sleep, you can prop it against a door handle to keep zombies and people (pc and npc) out, possibly put an empty beer bottle on the handle, so that if the door is opened, or hit hard enough at least, the bottle with fall, break, and wake you.

Of course, it would take a lot more thought than what I just came up with, but it is ideas. I always thought that Fallout 3 and New Vegas would make a good medium for something like a full conversion mod, making a survival-zombie-FPS, but I've never seen anything.
