I'm really curious about this as I get a message with a clearly fake adres and a message about how their friends wants to add you or that you have won something. I'm so irritated by this shit and I hope Valve takes some action soon.
Also what is the type of message you get most? For me it's the "my friend wants to add you but couldn't' message today I got the "you won something clcik here" message for the first time.

I marked never and then realised it's probably because my profile is set to private D:

I'm getting at least 3 level 0 / private profile invites per day.

Never.

I don't accept friend requests from people I don't know. I get random requests every now and then but unless they send me a message somewhere telling me who they are, they have a long wait :) Could be genuine, could be scams, I've no idea.

why do they let them invite you to friends with FAKE accounts with NO paid games is beyond me. no captchas or more inconvinient features for REAL users will ever solve that.
