Most Annoying thing with steam?

When my games say "update required" and refuse to update at all, and when I uninstall them, they refuse to reinstall. Deleting clientregistry / whole steam except steamapps didn't help either. Had to reinstall steam and redownload the game in question in this case.

Also, yea, the no chatting while verifying game files really bugs me.

Since last Windows installation, it crashes after about 15 hours

The fact my kids cannot play something like Awesomenauts on the laptop, while I play Borderlands 2 on the main PC. Not very family friendly.

When I JUST launch Steam, and every goddamn time once it loads, it's all like "Restart to apply update?" LIKE WHY THE FK DID YOU NOT UPDATE BEFORE MAKING ME LOG IN....sheesh...

Had to wait like 4-5 hours to install GTA 4 yesterday. that was a bit rude...

Most things aleady mentioned, but what I also really hate, can't us group chat on mobile app.

Also, no logging of chat (but I use the mopbile app for that, as that one does log) and the fact that the complete GUI can't be worked with if the client is doing like activating a key or something. Really annoying if activating is unresposnive as it sometimes is, especially during a trade which includes a key and I can not talk to the other person in the mean time.

Too much crashes and takes too much RAM

May have already been said but :

Shorter pop ups when some ones messages you or logs on. It's a pain when it last about 5 seconds and if it's fading and you go close to it with your cursor is annoyingly returns again. It sometimes covers places I need to put my mouse in the game.

well only thing I would like to change is being able to buy games with paysafe cards in croatia :)

Everything's already been said, pretty much.

Well, today I learned that Sleeping Dogs no longer support Cloud saves, and my 100%_No_DLC save is gone. This makes me a sad, sad panda =(

The games are too cheap... I buy them all but never play them, fml !

hands down the community lag, screenshots never load, sometimes it takes forever to load user profiles, activity feed needs to be refreshed time and time again until it loads (on the correct date). and I'm not talking about just now during the sale, it's always bad :<

but yeah, not being able to talk while you're verifying game files or doing content conversion is annoying
