I actually read trough all of it.
TLDR , Level 4+ willing to Gibaway lets say 20ish bundled + a couple Non bundled goodies can qualify :?
If so , id like to try my luck in signing up for the event :)
New years is a month and abit away , so i should be able to stock a bunch of games :)

"willing" and "being able to" are two totally different things in this group, just warning :D: especially stocking games prior to an event is horrible idea, proven by some unlucky members in the past - reservation phase is a freaking bloodbath (last summer - 600 games got reserved in first 12h since opening free reservation) - so you may spend your money, prepare 30+ games for GiveAways and they may all get reserved before you manage to post your reservation - and then you are with no monies left because you spent them on stockpiling and in a desperate need to find another not-yet reserved games for GAs ;p

No doubt about it. Saving up money for this event is much, much better than stockpiling games.

Student isn't joking. This group makes my efforts look weak by comparison.

Yeah, from the way you guys are describing it, it does sound like a real bloodbath. D: but also very interesting + a real challenge. Especially with all the unique giveaways, and who gets what. I guess that's how Black Friday must be like in US lol!! ^^

Lmao! I wouldn't be surprised! xD Last time I think I read you won 32 or 23 games from the summer event XD .. If I get in, I'll be happy as long as the winners of my giveaways will be happy! ^^ (well, it's always like that of course, but even more since the quality of the games will be higher! ^^)
But I did mean "who gets what" in terms of who gets to choose which games to give.. :P It's like auction for charitable people lol ! "No, I want to give that game away!! >:C" xD

heh... More like Black Friday than you know. Just imagine the doors opening, and then all those shoppers sprinting to the items and starting a brawl. P

I read through the whole post and it sounds like fun. I wouldn't have any trouble following the rules. May I join, please? Thank you for your consideration. :)

Oh, wow! I've heard about the group long before but got really interested this summer after a talk with zelghadis. I was waiting for this new recruitment and I'm happy that now I fit main requirements :D I was afraid that minimal required level was 5th, but level 4 is just my level. I already have a few eligible games (primary GA candidates) which I can giveaway, so I would be really happy to join. Of course, I can get more while this event lasts (or if my game candidates will be picked before me). I can spend my real money even for some rare and expensive game if there will be no choice left. I just want to be the part of this awesome event :) Thank you for such a great opportunity!

Would be interested in this event, even though i could probably only make one or two GA for it. But let's see what happens.

Thanks you two.
I think it would be better that instead of each user buying many different games as giveaways, instead buy fewer games but more copies of said games.
As the entire winter sale, each new sale day people will ask for that days/weeks special to giveaway.
I hope for many new rpgs/jrpgs/etc. go on nice sale.
I'm glad to see more and more psp/ps3 exclusives are getting pc ports.

You want to know what you're getting into. The competition in this group is very fierce. The average number of games given per person is around 17, with 1-3 of those being AAA games, some of them being "mid-price" games, and the rest being indies and the hottest bundled games people can get their hands on. Last event's reservation phase was a bloodbath with 600 titles being reserved in the first 12 hours, so that means you are better off stocking cash instead of games.(at least until you've reserved your giveaways).

I wasn't in the previous event but in the event before that a lot of users didn't give away any AAA games, they just gave away indie gems and new indie games so saying every person gives away 1-3 AAA games is an overstatement imo. Most people give away 1 AAA game and some even none at all.

The average number of games...with 1-3 of those being AAA games.
You seem to have missed the fact that I qualified my statement.

Granted, I could have been more clear in my writing, but I was trying to be concise, as well, and it's trickier to do both at the same time. P

This event is like the Superbowl of Gift Giving on SG. Only the serious need apply.

Is the Level 4+ limit Level 4 on Steamgifts or Steam?

Having read the warnings given by various veterans, do you feel up to the challenge? I think you have the potential, but you'll have to bring your A-game or these people will shame you.

I've been familiar with dys for as long as I am an active SG user, maybe longer than with anyone who's still around.
If dys believes he can show everyone his best, I am all hands up for him! <3

A wild applicant appeared! I was pretty inactive previously. Time to make some giveaways.

Update 9th February
Our new record is now set to 1711 unique giveaways and over 1840 gifts sent. We didn't even need to have a consolation round since everyone had decent wins. This was probably our best event so far!
Update 29th November
We broke our previous record of 1k giveaways and now have 1028 unique giveaway reservations and 4 weeks to go untill the end of the event!
Update 28th November
Teasing for those interested in future events, we already have over 590 unique giveaway reservations. 500 of them were reserved in less than an hour which sets another record of the highest rate of reservations in any of our past events.
Created 18th November
Hello again community!
Some of you may already know what this thread is for, so if you do please skip the introduction part, but read the rest:
Group Introduction
First of all you should know that this is not a new group, it was first created during Chrismas 2012 and since then we've had six successful events:
The group's stats page can give you a glimpse of that success.
So it is obvious by the repetition pattern, that we operate close and during big Steam Sales. The goal of this group is to gather a certain amount of members that will create unique quality giveaways and share them with the rest. The tricky part is that ALL of those giveaways will end at exactly the same time, regardless of the time zone.
For that to work there are some rules to follow:
It's simpler than it looks, the hardest part is for me to organize and make sure people follow the rules.
For those that need more details, you should check on the group's profile here.
Also take a look at our FAQ.

What's the group's timeline
(read this if you get to be a member of this group)
Few last words
Our last event had 60 members and 1017 unique giveaways (average of 17 giveaways per member, which means also an average of 17 wins per member). Everyone won something, but still the unluckiest seven got 1 extra game from their wishlist as "compensation" on behalf of many of our members who donated the amount needed. Everything went smoothly and I will do my best for things to go well again.
tl;dr
This group is not for you
